Love on Netflix. I will return to this topic to discuss all the reasons this amazing series perfectly reaches someone my exact generation -- down to the year.

In the meantime, the ball gets rolling by highlighting Gillian Jacobs’ wardrobe in her starring role as central character Mickey Dobbs.

Costume designer Jennifer Eve’s looks for Mickey are both of the moment and timelessly tough girl chic. I felt a moment of kinship and pride when I saw Mickey’s Wrangler denim vest. I’ve been returning to a Lee version of this look since 2002. (Tip: make your own by carefully removing the sleeves from boy’s jacket).

The internet has already swooned over the genius-cute of the Carhartt overalls, but I’ll simply clink my glass around as well.

Bravo.
