Complexly Simple Am I.

I have been attempting the squat challenge... I did 80 squats last night! Today is my day of rest, but tomorrow, 85 squats! I need a nice bum in my wedding dress!

Hello, I had my first class last night and it was pretty darn awesome. This school seems serious and my teacher really knows what he's doing. There are a few things I love so far: 1) Our "classroom" is what they use as a studio during the day. So it's pretty cool sitting in a space that's such a blank slate and seeing all the cool flashes, soft boxes, random clamps, and whatnot sitting around. 2) My teacher is a well rounded, experienced teacher. He has decades of experience in many different areas of photography. I love learning from "the pros". The no nonsense ones at that. My favourite thing was his "diffuser". He's all about not spending money on unnecessary things. He made a flash diffuser out of a piece of white Bristol board and elastics! It was interesting. That's for sure :D 3) Lastly, there are 12 people in our class. A pretty decent size. We'll be covering so many different types of photography. I even have an assignment due by next week. Oh boy! I'll post some practice shots when I get some free time to roam with my camera. Till next time :) S

Starting something new… One of my personal goals this year is to become better. What that means entirely just yet… I’m not sure, but I’m taking one step at a time. I plan on branching out. Going beyond my comfort zone because I need to. I’m not one to take chances, make changes, because it’s hard. BUT I’m so ready. I’ve made some changes already! This blog will be about my growth as a photographer. I bought my camera 5 months ago and am FINALLY taking a beginner course at the School of the Photographic Arts: Ottawa. I’m suuuuper excited. I need this. So enjoy taking this journey with me! S :)
