After sausages stream yesterday I have been thinking a lot about how people treat Numbers. Specifically celestial metals. While I'm sure they think they are being helpful, to me and probably to sausage it just seeming like they are treating Numbers as less than. They always call it sausage despite it repeatedly saying things like 'no sausage here' 'sausage is sleeping right now' 'sausage isn't here right now, but he will be back soon, once danger is gone'. Both sausage and Numbers have made it very clear that they are different people. They have different memories, skills, body language, and even voices. Yet cm still treats Numbers as though it is 'sausage but wrong' like its lesser than. No one ever takes it seriously, its constantly talked over, and on the rare occasion someone does talk to it, its always to try and cox sausage back into fronting. And while I know Numbers is more robot then human, it still has feelings, its still a person at the end of the day.

Yesterday, Numbers wanted to kill zam to free her from the demon. And when legs didn't agree, instead of pulling it aside to try and talk to it, LIKE ITS A PERSON, legs tried to KILL IT to bring back sausage. Numbers stood there while legs cried to it about how much he wanted it gone and sausage back, stood there while legs hit it and yelled at it for simply daring to show itself.

Numbers has NEVER hurt anyone. Its only goal is to prevent as many of its friends from being hurt as it can. And when it saw the demon was hurting its friends, it tried to eliminate the threat. But Numbers never actually hurt any of them, including zam. And its because it's friends didn't want it to. It didn't even start fighting back against legs trying to kill it until it was on HALF a HEART.

But cm don't see Numbers for the person it is, all they see is something more equivalent to the demon that possessed zam, something stealing their friends body, keeping him from them. All they see is anger, and label it as 'dangerous' without looking at where it's directed. And because of this sausage also hates numbers. He hears people around him describing it as a dangerous monster, so of course he's going to belive it, he doesn't have a way to communicate with Numbers himself. He refers to it as 'that... thing' and tries to keep it from fronting. Part of that is fear of not being in control of his body and not knowing what Numbers might do, but it's also because Numbers fronting is considered a bad thing.

Sure, it only fronts when sausage is stressed or in danger, but that doesn't make it bad. Sausages mind created Numbers for a reason, because sausage needs numbers. Numbers said it itself. They seem to think numbers being present means sausage is really stressed. Almost like numbers is just how he is when he is stressed, instead of its own person, if that makes sense. When numbers is there sausage isn't anything. He can't be stressed. Numbers whole job is to save him from that, to protect sausage by taking on the danger itself.

When sausage first did a dungeon (with cpk and pyro), Numbers fronted. Afterward sausage was telling Graecie about how they didn't think it was weird, that they weren't afraid of it and even talked to it. He was so happy about it, because it's one of the only times that's happened. He shouldn't be getting this excited over Numbers being treated with basic human respect, it should be the norm.

I'm sorry, did legs really just indirectly tell sausage he values zams life more than its??? He almost killed him at LEAST twice. Numbers was on half a heart. It was bleeding from his arm. I genuinely can't look at at legs the same after that. Tbf I did watch it from sausages pov so there might be some bias, but what he did was such a hurtful thing. And while I have heard from others that he felt bad afterward and regretted it, sausage doesn't know that. From its pov, legs chose a demon over its life, almost killed it, and them left sausage to tend to his wounds alone. He didn't apologize, or seem remorseful in the slightest. He just preteneded like it didn't even happen, like sausage is just supposed to suck it up and what, 'control himself'?? When its someone entirely different doing those things?? Legs severely wounded sausages body as punishment for someone else's actions.

And while I agree that killing zam should be a last resort, Numbers makes several good points. Standing around is going to get zam killed. And nothing has really gotten better. Sure they have found a way to get zam back, but its becoming harder to do each time. The demon is learning how to fight back, and that's dangerous. It killed people. Not just injured. Two people died. And if they did take one of her lives, shed still have two. There's several other people on two lives, and I honestly think its a better alternative than continuing to let zam have nightmares, lose control of her body, and hurt people against her will, which is taking a massive toll on her mental health. It feel almost cruel in a way.

And legs, proved yesterday how little he valued sausage. He would rather kill it to stop it from arguably saving zam, because he values her life more than his. No wonder sausage can't look at him anymore.

Also that he doesn't see beep as a person (ima talk more about that in another post tho cause this one is getting long)
