Itâs not very unlikely for Lewis to intrude and take the liberty of making himself welcome into someone elseâs establishment. He hardly even pays attention to signs. Although this was different. Itâs purely out of the weather demanding all sort of creatures under the sky to seek out for shelter. Purely. Perhaps thatâs rather a biased statement. As a matter of fact, Lewis does have some inquiries to the owner of the place.
The tall man tipped his hat that got drenched in the rain after she acknowledged his unprecedented visit. His coat got wet too but no matter. Lewis was not bothered by it. He simply took the garment and his hat off and hanged them by the door where a rack is conveniently provided. âIâd hardly call this a good morning..â Lewis muttered instead of greeting back. âAh, yes. Itâs not a day for me to visit you indeed. So does anybody else, so it seems.â He continued as he looked around the rather empty establishment. âPending the business due to the weather?â
she emerges from behind the counter; a pencil tucked over her ear, those manicured fingertips holding close the hot ceramic of her steaming tea. she leans against the corner of the front desk, cocking a brow at his form already welcoming himself in â her weight casually leaning to one side. ânot at allâ i had some projects i wanted to think through on my own.â she responds.
eyeing up his wet clothes and the pallid skin from cold air, she purses lips and straightens up. âwhilst youâre here, would you like something to drink?â jessica asks, turning back into the main workroom, leaving the space behind her as an obvious sign that he should follow. âand i guess i can finish up those shirts for you, if youâll give me ten minutes. you wanted the seams taken in, right? up on the podium then.â she nods to a little round step placed before three mirrors, putting her cup down on the table.Â
âExciting.â Lewis said regarding the femaleâs projects. âIâm already looking forward to whatever it is.â Of course he is--genuinely, he is--despite not even knowing a thing of what kind of work sheâd brewing that she had to call the day off. Jessica is a brilliant seamstress and Lewis recognizes this. Although itâs only been a while since theyâve acquainted themselves, Jessica never disappoints. Oddly enough, Lewis developed a certain admiration for this human. âSheâs useful.â he thought.
Following her naturally behind, Lewis asked for a glass of wine. Wine in this kind of weather. Itâs not entirely a strange choice but certainly a queer one. Naturally, one would ask for a cup of tea or a coffee but not Lewis. No, he asks for a glass of wine. That is if she has any. âHmm.. might as well avail your services, yes.â Lewis climbed up the podium in compliance. Familiar with how he should cooperate, while the seamstress works on him. âI should tell you, I did not come visit to make you work on your day off. An apology should be in order, I suppose.â Lewis kept his gaze on the mirror, his arms wide open. âI apologize. Though I canât help it if you offered.â

itâs a lazy morning; a quiet one â jess was the only one in her workshop, having sent her staff a quick text message to relieve them of daily duties. in a classic room of dark wood, softly-grey walls and few honey lights turned on to combat the stormy morning out the window; jess stands clutching a mug of warm tea to her chest, eyes reading over the patterns of new dresses laid out before her on a large table. andrea bocelli was singing from a radio nearby, perfidia, and the seamstress was humming along.Â
rain pelted the windows, and what shouldâve been a sunny morning was hued a dreary grey â a blustery wind whipping up the coattails of any who braved the open streets. the little sign in her door was turned to read âclosedâ and jess was grateful for the quietness of the shop; choosing the perfect day to lounge in a thick sweat and favourite jeans. she had some projects she wanted to get started, and whilst it was quieââ-
ââââââââ-ding ! ! !Â
her head lifts, the little bell above her front door signalling the arrival of a soul â the door read closed, but she mustâve forgotten to lock it. she steps out around the table to get a better look at the entrance.
âsorryâ weâre closed todaâ-â she pauses with a soft ah upon the arrival of a familiar face. âgood morning, sailor, itâs not your usual fitting today, is it?â

Lewis, if anything but a vile creature is most certainly attractive. Vampires of course are known to be such beautiful beings. Even more so that itâs hardly believable to be conceivable. Pale porcelain-like skin; a face you can barely guess is actually possessed by a monster and not an angel. His best features are most primed and highlighted that itâs impossible to not notice.Lewis appeared to be someone who was sculpted and designed to perfection from marble, and like magic, came to life.
Of course this perk comes along with occasional circumstances such as this one. Not that Lewis finds it of great nuisance. Heâs always loved it. Thatâs a fact. Itâs dandy useful when he hunts for prey. Easily attracts the most clueless, infatuated soul he can seduce and finally suck the life out of.However, tonightâs not a night where he goes hunting for his next fresh blood.
Lewis had found himself a work since he came back to Seoul. A work he could say he enjoys: serving breakfast food at an american diner in the middle of Hongdae. He especially likes that place because aside from the fact that itâs never packed and is always serene, itâs rare to find an american diner in Seoul. Besides, Lewis loves bacon and eggs and all sorts of breakfast food. He puts extra attention to his sunny side up more than anything else, however odd that may sound, but yes.
Now of all the times someone tries to get his attention, itâs when heâs frying eggs. Probably the only time Lewis finds his visual features rather unfortunate. âDonât scam me to get free food later because I burned your egg.â Lewis lowly growled, speaking through gnashing teeth. The vampire doesnât want to admit he burned the egg because he got distracted by the customerâs attempt to get his attention. Well heâs very successful isnât he?

Send me "hey baby" for my muses reaction to your muses being sexually distracting while I work on something important.
i could recognize him by touch alone, by smell                       i would know him blind,          by the way his breaths came and his feet struck the ground
i would know him in death                        at the end of the world
âNo I donât.â Lewisâs brows twitched sensing the condescending tone in his voice which offended him even at the slightest. He could just as easily break this personâs neck if only he knew. But letâs not terrify clueless humans no matter how ignorant they can be. âPerhaps I should redecorate my closet.â He said it more to himself. One of the things Lewis enjoys at least while roaming this world for a thousand years are clothes. Considering he wore robes of Kings made in pure silk and especially woven for him that even the King himself canât wear it. Itâs impossible not to think Lewis does not pay attention to his fashion. A thousand years ago, what youâre wearing is gravely important and it drastically and automatically puts you on a certain position. And Lewisâ position had always been above them all so he always pays attention to what he wears. Even until today. Well, clothing is now viewed differently but it was still important and he hates how this thing had already happened twice. Especially with this proud guy. So perhaps heâll just take the drastic route and trash all the clothes in his closet to get a new set. âJust to make sure this wonât happen again.â
@seomxj
Minho clicked his tongue and pursed his lips, he didnât want to seem arrogant but his previous comment made it seem like he was. Matching clothes was a casuality which happened twice but maybe there was no a third one, also, he couldnât afford new clothes, no when he was expanding his business. âIt wonât happen a third time, donât worry, letâs not make this a big deal.â He flashed a soft smile. âDonât you find it cute to dress as a couple?â Teased the male, hopefully, to lit up the mood⌠or not?
âCute is when a furry animal wears costumes. I am neither a fury animal nor wearing a costume.â Replied the vampire, crossing his arms across his chest. âIf you really donât want to make this a big deal, perhaps you should throw out that shirt. Because thereâs no doubt I look better in this than you. Spare the world of fashion and perhaps seek another style that would suit you better.â Itâs Lewisâ turn to sound arrogant. He examined the boy from head to toe. Yes, he looked no more than just a boy to Lewis. With one slender finger, Lewis held his chin and turned his face to the left and then to the right. âNot to mention you could do so much better with this face.â
cgghycok:
Seoul is such a crowded, and noisy place. But it has always been even before cars were invented. Whether the name it is called was Namgyeong (Goryeo era) or Hanyang (Joseon era), this very place (Seoul) has always been busy. Lewis never minded it. Nor did he pay attention to really notice how busy and big this city is. What he does notice is how things hadnât really changed.
Lewis decided to dine in a restaurant somewhere in Hongdae. Pretending to be human. With a glass of wine on one hand and the other tucked in his pocket playing with his coin. A soothing sound of the cello playing in the background. And the lights just dim enough to his liking. He hasnât touched his rarely done steak yet. Itâs not like it could give him any satisfaction. Although he does enjoy the taste of food. But if he isnât going to eat then what was the point of him going there?
People watching. Like he always does. Like any other gods and goddesses does. And perhaps maybe he can catch a familiar scent. Maybe he can notice the clouds crumbling up then perhaps heâd know. Maybe he can spot another poor soul being punished in the middle of the road. Heâs wondering maybe heâd come across the goblin here somehow, again so heâs not touching his steak yet.
Soeun sighed as she walked around the different parts of Seoul. Where she was going she really didnât know where she was going. However she all of a sudden vanished and reappeared near the restaurant where Lewis was. She sighed as she stood there just down the street as she looked at the time as she sighed. Pushing her hair out of her face. She waited a few minutes before a guy came out of a club drink with a woman. Soeun grabbed the woman and pulled her away from the male. âGo home take a cab and donât go with this guyâŚforget himâŚÂ â She said and hailed the girl a cab and put her in there and told the cab to take this woman straight home and no stopping extra.
Once the girl was safe she turned to the guy. Who was mad she made his âdateâ go home. âIt wonât matter your going to go home to your wife and kids. And tell your wife who is pregnant with your extra child what you have been doing. While you accept whatever punishment your wife gives youâ Soeun said as the guy nodded and walked off. She did have a bit of mind power over people it helped when they were drunk. Sighing she turned and looked at the restaurant wanting to get something to eat as she opened the door and walked in. Â
âWell Iâll be damned.â Snorted Lewis. This must be what the mortals call a coincidence. You see, he was just looking out the window, a glass of wine in his hand and his steak untouched when he was wondering maybe heâd find the goblin he met back in Jeju there. His thoughts must have been jinxed because, voila, there she is. Meddling with human lives again like itâs her duty. Perhaps it is. Is it? Lewis wouldnât really bother to know.
The vampire just followed her with his gaze as she walked right through the doors. Intriguing. This fate is. What were the odds heâd actually see her again after he vaguely rejected her? After living on this world for a thousand years this kind of chance is not new to Lewis. It happens more often than anybody actually thinks. The world is but only small after all.
Lowering his wine glass down, time slowed down like it almost stopped. Lewis does have this ability. A perk he had since day one and developed over the years. Everyone--except for him and the goblin--is moving so slow itâs almost as if itâs in another dimension and time is just floating around in vacuum. Finally he laid his glass down on the table. The faint sound of the glass against the woodwork echoed across the area that she might hear it like a faint heartbeat. Fidgeting on his coin always, he flipped it up through the air and it just almost as if just floated just like the others, spinning so slow. He kept his gaze still at her until the coin lost momentum and started dropping. As the coin dropped--itâs spinning gradually quickens and so did the surroundings started to move faster and back to its normal rate--Lewis did not catch it and just let it roll towards Soeunâs feet.

Xiumin was very much used to the v a r y i n g scents he came to pick up on here and there, unconsciously memorizing a select few and absolutely wishing he could discard the lot of them. A âperkâ that came with being a vampire, of course; he was granted the enhanced ability of smell, being able to track down aromas for m i l e s and - his favored aspect - differentiate the blood beneath the skin of others. It was something he relied on heavily when it came to hunting, as he preferred to sink his teeth in a victim whose blood ran sweet and put him in a high after lapping up said s u b s t a n c e .
What he wasnât used to; however, was feeling frightened. Yes, such a perception was foreign to him, but the brief seconds of feeling threatened - believing death was i m m i n e n t - had him halting in his tracks, a small but s h a k y intake of air into lungs that didnât require it. Just as quick as his initial reaction, he shot his head in the direction behind him. Golden hues bounced between the heads that stood above the crowd that continued to s w i m past him, but ultimately failed to find whatever the hell he was looking for that put him out the way it did.Â
The craziest damn thing was, the instinct that was his sixth sense failed to alert him of something like that coming within his radar before it was right upon him. Perhaps he was letting himself g o - that was the only valid reason he could conjure - as now he couldnât pinpoint the aura that left him startled and confused as hell. Never during all his days had he felt s m a l l e r than he actually was, as he made his position in superiority transparent with those he met. Whatever it was, whoever it was, was just like him. That was the only thing, other than the scent he only dimly  r e c a l l e d now, he was sure of. Someone not human, someone dark and DANGEROUS, like him but definitely worse. That much he could admit, and with that, he turned back on his heels and went back to p u s h i n g himself through the busy street.
With a subtle eagerness in his step to get the hell out of here, he knew for absolute sure that if he picked up on the otherâs presence, that the owner of such a deadly aura also sensed him. Xiumin made it his mission to, whenever he c r o s s e d paths with another vampire, own up to his name and put them in their place. Whether that meant promising them death or actually going through with such, he made it clear he was someone to not fuck with. Right now..? He abandoned the task and without a n o t h e r look back, took a turn at a corner and off the dense passage to one more narrow in width.
Lewis never made it a point to hunt down his descendants. As much as he hates what kind of creature he is, and those who became just like him, Lewis could still barely spare humanity mercy from the hands of his or his descendants. He basically doesnât have any fucks to give. Heâs a rather sloppy god. One that is extremely bored that heâs lost interest on doing anything. Heâs already tried manipulating a nation behind kings. He tried to become king once. But, alas, interfering with the affairs of lesser creatures never brought satisfaction to Lewis. Only war and blood. But thatâs out of the picture now isnât it?
Lewis knows what horrible creatures he had accidentally created. Why wouldnât he? He created something that mirrored his lust and thirst for blood. A slave of their desires, reminding him of what he once was. An identity he keeps denying from himself. Such kind of monster do not deserve to roam the earth. It is only right to wipe them out so if he somehow bumps into one, death will inevitably come their way. Perhaps.
In a way, it was Lewisâ idea of preserving his loveâs hatred towards him. Itâs his way of acting righteous but ultimately feeling like a hypocrite and a fool. So when he felt another vampireâs presence, one that was just within his reach, Lewis did not even do much of a flinch. Situated in a very crowded place, itâs not exactly a suitable setting to confront the owner of the scent. Besides, he could sense the fear swelling coming from that other vampireâs presence. That only means the creature sensed him too despite concealing his own aura. Therefore the creature was just right under his nose but for some reason he couldnât pinpoint which one.
Lewis could tell the descendantâs a relatively new one. But the amount of blood that the creature already smothered on his own chin impressed Lewis. A rather deadly one. Not to mention one sensible and quick-witted enough to slip away from his presence quickly. This vampire isnât a fool and Lewis acknowledges that.
But Lewis has already discovered him. Itâs only a matter of time before he can grasp his hand on the descendantâs neck. But before that happens, Lewis settles down by intriguing himself with that mysterious vampire. A creature like that, young and fresh but devilish enough to consume all sorts of blood. It should be fun confronting him, when the time comes.
Fidgeting on his coin in his pocket, Lewis took a turn in a corner away from the crowd. And as if he just walked right through and out of thin air, heâs already situated on top of a building. Below was just where he had been. A traffic of mortals scurrying through the streets. He should be there among the humans perhaps. But Lewis doubts it. Taking a deep breath in with his eyes closed, a good amount of scent inhaled into his lungs, he confirmed. The descendant is hiding well and is nowhere to be sensed but it only made Lewis thrilled. As his eyes fluttered open, the color of his eyes switched colors from dark to a sharp bloodshot eyes. His sharp teeth showing with a sneer and a loud demonic cackle came out of his throat as Lewis started laughing hysterically towards the sky.
Now the hunt begins.
The moment her eyes fluttered open, Lewis expected her to start screaming. Maybe two or three seconds later. Five? No. She did not scream. Instead, she asked who he was. Curious but heâs not surprised. A strange man is lapping over her in a strange place and his mouthâs been all over her bare skin, taking absolute advantage of her drunken state. But instead of trying to run away, the female just stares at her her perpetratorâs eyes asking who he is with no hint of fright or alarm, just confusion, in the tone of her voice. Heâd daresay sheâs please even. Lewis barely let out a soft chuckle in amusement and his bloodshot eyes flickered and changed colors into his regular . In this dimly lit room, would she have noticed?
âShhh...â He hushed, gently pressing his forefinger on her lips. Her lips are soft which immediately enthralled him as he curiously traced his finger, a bit tempted to kiss.âYou donât remember?â The male asked softly. Shifting his gaze from her eyes to her lips and then back to her eyes again. And there it is. His cunning grin that barely tugs on the corner of his lips but you can absolutely see flicker in his eyes.
Just a few hours ago in a club. In the midst of the people dancing barbarically drunk under chaotic neon lights and deafeningly loud music. Lewis had locked his gaze on his next possible victim. The drunk female dancing wildly, wearing what suspiciously looked like what those behind the bar serving drinks were wearing. They were staring each other down itâs impossible for Lewis not to make a move with that same cunning grin of his. Saves him the trouble of having to seduce his prey so now here they were.
Lewis pushed her chin to the side with his finger. Looking at all the marks he already made, one was still bleeding and a drop of blood threatened to roll down her neck. It would be a waste if heâd just let it drop and stain the sheets. But the moment he licked that dripping blood he realized how sweet her blood has gradually become now that sheâs gained consciousness and sobering up. His pupils dilated as it changed again into red, triggered. Bittersweet blood. It was incredibly enticing Lewis. With a sharp intake of breath he whispered to her ear. âIf get so rough I could kill you.â
                | 4 | SELF PARA | WHEN IN SEOUL |
Of course Lewisâ first visit was the palace. The last nation he took in his control was Joseon. Ultimately, it was the last dynasty that ever ceased to exist. Now they call it, Han-guk or Korea. Funny enough how the name of the nation he planned to create managed to survive by itself. Without a King. Without a Queen. Just the people. And you guessed it right. The kingdom he was suppose to give to Catarina: Lewis named it Han-guk.
cgghycok:
Later that evening, Lewis had already consumed his so called dinner. The woman, whose name he did not bother to know, sprawled lifeless on the bed, naked. Its discolored skin blending in with the white sheets. He pondered over how heâs going to get rid of it or if heâs going to do anything about it at all. Had he left enough blood for the woman to be able to at least run off from his hotel room, he wouldnât have the need to busy himself with this nuisance. But Lewis hasnât fed on fresh human blood for over a year and itâs obviously difficult for vampires to resist blood. She lasted a while though. He had to give her that credit. But one way or another, whether he let her escape at least or not, heâd still make sure she ended up dead before she could ask for any help.
However with much further thought, Lewis decided to dispatch of his mess in the end. His stay on land became longer than he expected and being on the mortalâs wanted list would be a bother for him. Having humans tailing him never led him to a peaceful day to day life. Need not said that having his face known to the public isnât really the best option either. With his unaging features it would be problematic if anyone recognizes him. The reason why Lewis sails a lot from country to country and stay afloat in the middle of the sea for most part. He just comes back on land (on a specific land) when heâs certain nobody can recognize him.
Wrapping the woman in sheets, Lewis brought her on top of a cliff where he dropped her off without any empathy to spare. Evidence of her death just smashed into a pile of sharp rocks at the bottom and washed away by harsh smashing waves. The weather has been off since the moment he disappeared from the scene earlier, he noticed. âDid I upset her? How tacky.â Lewis mused by himself with a slight chuckle. But getting to Seoul is what heâs most worried about with this weather. To get there, boarding on a plane is necessary and he absolutely hates flying. He canât believe messing around with a goblin will bring him this slight misfortune. âI guess I should apologize when we meet again.â
With that said, before midnight clocks in, Lewis finally arrived in Seoul where he hinted heâd be to the goblin named Soeun. Perhaps theyâd meet again if she really wanted that dinner.
Soeun stayed in Jeju for the rest of the evening she just stood by the water enjoying the soothing sound of the waves. One of the things that actually made her happy. She smiled as she sat down and closed her eyes letting her mind wander as she took deeps and sort of went into a mediation. It was very relaxing. However the bad weather wasnât her, it was god being angry at her for allowing two people to die before their time. Hearing the loud rumble over head she opened her eyes and glared at the dark clouds.Â
âI didnât do it okay. I didnât kill them. I was doing what you wanted me to do in the first place! I was answering prayers you give to me to help them! I helped that woman and got rid of the scum. What the vampire finished him off isnât my fault. I didnât kill either of themâ She shouted loudly at the clouds as she stood up. âYou kill a bunch of people by not allowing me or other angels to âsave themâ what a bunch of bullâ Soeun scoffed as a bolt of Lighting hit near her loudly. âYahhh!â She shouted at the sky.Â
She huffed as she stood there and closed her eyes and vanished in a puff of dark smoke before appearing in her house in Seoul. She however sought out the vampire in Seoul when it was dark. How sheâd find him she didnât know she did have a smell from his glass where they he drank from it. But she wasnât a dog to sniff him out.Â
Seoul is such a crowded, and noisy place. But it has always been even before cars were invented.
