Pleased that the otherâs wounds are now healed, Cygnus then nods his head. When the other tells him his name, glad that the other was willing to tell him. âIâm Cygnus,â he introduces; not remembering the last time he actually had to do so. Yuki mentioned salmon, to which Cygnus had to frown. âAh⌠I think⌠so?â he had caught some fish the other day, but ââ he wasnât sure if they were salmon or not. Still, as long as he âcookedâ it, then it should be fine? He really wasnât sure what nigiri was after all. Oh, it should be fine.
âMake yourself comfortable and I will go prepare it,â he assured it ââ but really, leaving him alone in the kitchen wasnât a good idea at all. Not that Yuki would know such a thing, but he would learn soon enough. Once in the kitchen, Cygnus pulled out the fish that he had, looking it over with slight confusion. Humans cooked their food⌠and cooking food meant that you had to heat it, so⌠using his own fire should be fine. Opening his mouth, flames soon spouted forth and burned the fish; leaving it brown â almost burned â and crispy. Not bothering with a plate, Cygnus took the now âcookedâ fish and return to the otherâs side. âHere!â
It doesnât doesnât feel good by any means, to feel as though one is a prisoner...but there will be no hope for escape if he doesnât calm down, and rest. He hadnât had enough time before being abducted to take any of his most potent poisons with him, and the creature has proved already that such venoms have little effect on him...but perhaps if he were to make something more refined, more concentrated, he might have a chance of at least sedating him long enough to make some distance toward home again. As he waits for the other to return, he moves throughout the garden, studying the plants and collecting the more deadly of the buds and roots for later work, hiding them in tiny tincture-carriers and vials he kept on his person. Belladonna buds, Crabâs Eye seeds, Nightshade berries...but then the other returns, sooner than he had anticipated, and he hides what heâs gathered quietly before turning to observe the food heâs brought...
â ...What the hell is that? Itâs BURNT. â He sighs, taking the plate, and prodding at the fish with his fingers, watching the charred black pieces fall off where he applies too much pressure. â Ugh, donât you know that youâre not supposed to cook nigiri? Itâs served raw, idiot! And you forgot the rice! Just take me to your kitchen, Iâll do it. â This was going to be a long night. He follows the other to the kitchen, rolling up the sleeves of his yukata. It canât be helped. If he wants to have any hope of escape, he needed sleep, and food.      â Whereâs the fish? Do you have rice? â

If Yoichi is acting, then heâs awfully good at it ââ so good so that Mamoru is finding himself feeling doubt. Doubt that perhaps his instincts are wrong. They have been before, but⌠well, he wonât allow himself to rest so easily. He will be keeping an eye on the other; and each word that leaves his mouth will be considered. Turned over his head and analyzed. You can never be too careful with these kind of games. One step wrong would lead him down a road of failure. He offers a smile though, it being gentle and appreciative. âI appreciate the fact that you wish to help, but I do not wish to put you in danger. Still⌠information from someone in the public eye who isnât an officer can be quite useful, so it would help me out quite a lot if you would keep an attentive eye out. Youâre undoubtedly smart, so Iâm sure you would notice something amiss here. Even if it is just a feeling or an assumption, then I would love to know,â he replies, smiling as he does. Itâs best to make a friend for now and not a foe. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer, like someone once said.
Once the food is offered, he doesnât hesitate to dig in; feeling his stomach rumble as he enjoys the udon bowl. It tastes good, thereâs no doubt about it. He allows himself to enjoy it, not remembering the last time he ate a home-cooked meal like this. He relies mostly on fast-food lately; so much so that itâs almost pitiful. Getting some real food is nice. Finishing his sake, he hesitates a little, but decides to ask anyway; âCould I get some more sake?â Getting drunk wouldnât be wise, nor does he intend to do so, but⌠perhaps it would make the other let his guard down if he does act the part of it. âAlso⌠nothing good will come from worrying. The situation isnât ideal, but if something does happen⌠well, it will be entirely out fault for not being able to handle things at a faster pace. Still⌠we would have to search this place thoroughly if it comes down to it ââ if the killer does come here frequently, then he might have of left a clue behind; but, we will see in due time. For now, I would like to enjoy my free time, if you donât mind? Talking about work makes me feel exhausted.â
Oh? It would seem that he was loosening up after all! He cheerily pours another serving for the both of them from the porcelain vase sitting within his reach, and he grins like a Cheshire cat while he does so. â Of course, of course! My apologies. So, tell me more about yourself, Mamoru-san! Besides watching birds, what do you like to do in your spare time? â The question was a double-edged sword, though; he was only asking so that Mamoru would ask the same of him in turn -- besides, it would be nice to know where he might be able to find the man, at a later time...perhaps, while Mamoru was UNAWARE that he was being watched...      Still, he listens intently, curious -- or, at the very least, appearing so. He lifts one of the dumplings to his lips with the chopsticks, enjoying the flavor as he punctures the skin with his teeth, and lets the meat and filling flood over his tongue. While the other talks, he moves one of his own dumplings to the otherâs plate, setting it beside the bowl, a wordless offer for him to partake of one if he wants it -- but, if he doesnât, San wonât be offended.
kallxope:
Oh, FUCK...heâs going to come, and he can feel it. His walls are beginning to quiver around the wet, swirling, pumping pressure of that tongue -- and just when he thinks he might be able to last, Soryuâs digits reach up to coil around his throbbing length, and they squeeze, they twist, they massage and pump the growing pressure, swelling it to his head and -- OH!! He reaches one hand up to bite the knuckles, trying to quiet himself as the waves of pleasure well up, and drown him, crashing over him like waves on a shoreline.       â AAH!! H -- ah!! Nnh...gh -- oh, God... â He gasps and moans against his own skin, thighs shuddering as he releases; thick coils of seed spill out, splattering over his stomach at the angle his cock keeps, his body clamping down over that devilish tongue. His stomach spasms, the muscles tight and tangibly flinching as the last drops of ecstasy seep from his slit, dribbling down from the head over the shaft, and over Soryuâs fingers as he catches his breath.

â really? â she perks, eyes glowing in ribbons of brilliant red and orange - soft pinks streaking across her irises like the morning sunrise. the phoenix approaches, wariness dissolving as she tucks gathered roses into her book bag - red peaks through as she settles before the stranger and asks, â iâm not very familiar with japanese dishes so i would love to try anything you have, but - i donât want to get in the way.. you must be busy opening shop, right? â
â Of course not! Donât be SILLY. â He chirps, opening the gate to the gardens, inviting her inside. Itâs lush with autumn colors -- oranges and reds...they match her hair. She fits so well into the backdrop of beauty and nature. â Come inside, itâs going to rain soon. We wouldnât want to get wet. â If she does choose to follow him, he will lead her up the stone path to the traditional Japanese-styled building, stepping up onto the wooden porch, and opening a sliding paper door for her. â We wonât open for a few hours yet, anyway. â
kallxope:
âThatâs good to hear,â Mamoru isnât completely assured though, because this whole situation is just downright horrible when it comes down to it. The murder had to be something close to insane, with the way the victim is usually left behind. Still, Mamoru isnât sure if the kid would be this killerâs type, but itâs still an option. They donât have too much of a pattern yet after all. He offers a small smile though at the otherâs words; slightly amused that the other saw his words as a threat. Well, he supposed it could be seen like that; especially because Yoichi seemed to yearn for his company, but it had been more of a statement if anything. âI didnât intend to threaten you, but well ââ it seemed to work out in my favor either way,â he chuckled at that, revealing that there was much more than what met the eye.Â
âOf course. Iâll do my best to leave it at home next time,â he agrees then, giving the impression that he would indeed come here again; even if he hadnât made his mind up about it yet. Taking a sip of his own sake whilst keep a close eye on Yoichi, he simply hums at the otherâs reply. âIs that so? Well, it shouldnât take me by surprise. Even if we try to keep information tight, then the media always finds out either way,â he sighs at that, too used to it by now; and therefore seemingly buying the otherâs explanation easily. âI suppose everybody who uses their brain could figure it out, but I still donât hope the public decides to do anything stupid because of it. We already have our hands full.â He was still definitely suspicious though. Yoichi was a little bit too perfect in his eyes; and Mamoru knew that everything was too perfect always had something to hide. Still, he allows himself to relax. He lowers his defenses and for the first time during that evening, he shows how tired he truly is. Itâs all calculated, but itâs a nice feeling too. âJust⌠do tell me if you find anything suspicious. Finding the killer as quick as possible is optimal. I donât want to tell another pair of parents that their kid has been murdered.â
Those solemn words are replied to with a soft nod, his expression nothing short of wholly empathetic and pitying. â Of course I will. Itâs terribly sad. You know, plenty of people come and go here...and if the killerâs targets really are all young, good-looking men...well...Iâd be surprised if he hasnât been here before. The thought makes me sick, but...I...canât help but to think, to hope that maybe, in some way, I could help you -- ha...but, I suppose that would just be another public nuisance butting in where he doesnât belong...doing something stupid, as you so eloquently put it. â He pauses then as their food arrives; Hachi is dismal as ever, boring holes into his features with those steely eyes of his -- it makes him shiver, in a good way. If he wasnât such a snot, heâd be a lot more attractive, though. Cynics were so boring -- not beautiful at all.       â Thank you, Hisoka. â He murmurs gently as the other leaves, and he picks at his own plate in deep thought, twisting is chopsticks in tiny circular motions. He watches the Detective with no sense of scrutiny, despite the fact that he is already memorizing his mannerisms. This could prove to be a fun game -- in the end, heâs decided that heâll kill him only if he knows too much...but he canât fathom that he would be able to reveal the true nature of their organization. No one would believe him...and the option to kill him is still on the table, if the Elders become worried for their own hides. Cowardly old men, all of them; heâd see every one of them dead himself if their existence, and this silly little band of brutal killers didnât allow him to do whatever he pleased without consequence. If San were anywhere but here, after all, heâd be in jail -- or, perhaps heâd have hung from a noose long, long ago...oh, what a pathetic death that would be, not pretty at all. When he dies, it will be on his own terms. Heâll go out with a BANG, a burst of color -- a beautiful work of art. â I donât know what I would do if anything happened to one of these young men. They...are my family. I canât imagine the suffering. â

soulsavaged:
Friday follows the taller man, taking his seat in the booth, grateful for a chance to rest his weary body. He had traveled far, his lungs filled with the dust from the road, and he was sure his bones would ache well into the morning. The warmth of being indoors had finally begun to seep into his skin so he removed his coat, folding it and placing it on the seat next to him. A bashful smile adorned his lips as he straightened his back, meeting the otherâs gaze to reply. âYouâre right, Iâm very grateful for your offer.â Rude or not, the other had been rather helpful and Friday was not someone to disregard a favor. âIt is nice to meet you, Yoichi. My name is Friday.â He hoped to avoid any sort of inquiry about his name, he grew weary of them after being questioned so often, and instead turned to the waitress and thanked her for the service. He preferred his tea bitter and so declined the offer to have it sweetened.Â
As he took a sip he eyed the other quietly up and down, his senses on their usual high alert and listening in on any interesting conversations around them. He hadnât come here to relax, after all, and was very much still on the trail he had managed to sniff out a month ago. Even while this exhausted and worn he kept searching for a lead, anything that might help him on his journey. It wouldnât do for him to be distracted for too long, however, as he was currently a guest. Putting the cup down on the table, using it to warm his frozen hands, he decided to put his connection with this stranger to use. âI believe I caught that you work here? That would entail you meeting a lot of people, in a town as small as this,, isnât that so?â Â
â No sugar? Thatâs oolong, you know! â He laughs, finding it charming that such a sweet young man would prefer his tea so bitter! He couldnât imagine having tea without sugar; in fact, his own is sickly sweet -- but, to each his own. Heâll enjoy the warm, soothing flavor before heâll partake in the sake. Perhaps after a few drinks, this little dove will LOOSEN UP some! At his professed gratitude, San waves a hand dismissively, crossing one knee over the other beneath the table. â Pish-posh. Think nothing of it. After all, I almost had to drag you here, so~ â      As he sips his own tea, the younger poses that question, to which he hums in thought. He supposes that he does meet a lot of people. â Well, thatâs part of the job, naturally! A lot of new faces come through here all the time, being that weâre the only decent place in town for renting rooms. Besides, we offer live performances, and great food and drinks! Say, are you hungry? The kitchen is still open. â He could go for something himself -- but heâs always hungry. He finds himself wondering if the boy has ever done opium...ah, but he should try to offer him sake before taking such a drastic leap. Alcohol is one thing, drugs is another. â The chef makes fantastic beef takoyaki. â The drums are beginning to BEAT. Someone must be dancing now, but he doesnât bother to peer over the boothâs walls. Perhaps Friday will want to see. What an odd name, but he doesnât comment on it. He can assume that the boyâs heard enough of that for one lifetime.
kallxope:
Ah, finally. His treasure seems throughly impressed by the garden â but he had expected nothing less. Outside of his hoard, then this was his most treasured place. He could spend hours upon hours taking care of the place; or he could simply sit and enjoy the scenery. It was peaceful out here. The perfect utopia. Hearing his treasureâs words, he tilts his head to the side, confusion clear on his face. âOf course Iâm serious.â Otherwise he wouldnât have of gone this far. Human were usually nothing more than a nuisance; so he would never bring one back with him if he wasnât serious.Â
Noticing the blood, he moves forward, a frown soon appearing on his lips. âYouâre bleeding,â taking the otherâs hands in his, he licks at the small wounds; causing them to heal instantly. Keeping the otherâs hand in his own, he lowers them so he can stare into the otherâs face. âNothing inappropriate, I assure you. I will treasure you. Make sure you keep shining,â he explains, deciding that he should get the other a change of clothes now that there is blood on them. âWhat should I call you? Also â are you hungry? I can prepare some food for you, if you wish.â He didnât know much about cooking, since he mostly lived on raw human or animal flesh, but it couldnât be that hard.
There is a tension in his arms as his wrists are lifted by the other, and he shivers in shock and disgust as heâs LICKED, but before he can scold the other, he notes that his wounds are healing. How incredible. It leaves him baffled and speechless a moment before he retracts his hands, scowling. Nothing inappropriate? So, he wasnât brought here to be a concubine -- so, is he just an object to this creature? Just something to oogle and call his, but to toss aside when he doesnât feel like playing with him? It makes his blood boil...but thereâs nothing he can do about it. Heâs a DRAGON -- a beast of immense size and power. There probably arenât enough herbs in this entire garden that could make a poison potent enough to kill him...or even put him to sleep for awhile. Things were beginning to look bleak.
â ...I guess so. â He sighs, feeling too tired and numb to deal with this shit right now. He needs a stiff drink and a few hits of opium. â I donât suppose you have any salmon nigiri...mm? My nameâs Yuki. â A lie -- but it was second-nature now, instinct now to give that name. He was either Yuki, or Ni...and despite the fact that this man was not a man at all, but a beast, he still feels a twinge of residual pain from the tortures heâs endured at the very thought of giving his pseudonym. That title is only for members of KAGE, and no matter if this man was human or not, he wasnât allowed to know it.
pyrebirds:
the phoenix perks at his words, eyes ablaze as they turn to look him over (he too is kissed by the winter chill, paler than the frost that leaves her lips with each breath). flowers settle in her palms, petals brightening beneath her touch as she asks, â that depends: what kind of tea are you serving? â
â Whatever kind youâd like. Green, white, oolong...we have food, too. Dango, mochi. Are you hungry? â He doesnât normally feel so generous, or so concerned...but something about her seemed different than others. Somehow, the flowers seem brighter where she touches them; it feels like HER -- like Mother. â We havenât opened yet, so itâs quiet right now. â
kallxope:
Ah⌠had he said something wrong? Cygnus didnât believe his view was wrong, but apparently his treasure took great offense to his words. Well, so be it. It would change over time, he was sure of it. Still, the threat of the otherâs family coming after him only made him frown. He didnât like being threatened ââ and especially not now that he has found such a precious treasure. Eyes narrowing, he gives the other a warning glare. âYou do not wish for such a thing. If they come here, Iâll kill them.â It isnât an empty threat either ââ at least not completely. If the otherâs family is like him though, then it wouldnât be too hard to kill them; but he wonât kill them unless completely necessary.Â
Once he has shown the other his nest, he had hoped to see a better expression on his face, but⌠apparently not. âYou will sleep here together with me,â he informs, a small sigh leaving his lips at that. âI will show you the garden now. Come,â the tour is far from over; and on the way to the garden they pass by both the kitchen and the bathroom ââ the first of which is barely used. That would have to change now though, since there is a human together with him. Once they come overground again, it doesnât take long to reach the garden ââ the only place outside of the hoard that is kept well. The temple is a ruin after all, but the garden stands out. Itâs beauty nothing less than otherworldly out here in the mountains. âYou can enjoy the garden as much as you desire; and Iâll allow you to do with it as you please as well. Plant new flowers.. anything of the sort.â
Just as he feared; his family likely wouldnât stand a chance against a creature like this -- but thereâs no telling for certain. Ichi is a master of explosives, Hachi can wield any blade ( surely one that could pierce this beastâs flesh ), and San was out of his bloody mind -- his weapons were strong enough to cut through steel. Thereâs no way he couldnât slice this creature into shreds. Even so, he feels WORRIED. He almost hopes they donât come after him. He couldnât fathom the idea of them dying for his sake. He feels his hands trembling, fingers clenched so tightly into fists that his nails are cutting into his palms, and blood is soon trickling down onto the floor as he stalks through the halls. Heâll be sleeping with him? The thought disgusts him, but he says nothing for now, ignoring most of his surroundings as they go, blinded by rage. He needs to calm down, or heâll get too heated. How is he supposed to get out of this?
When they reach the gardens, though...heâs unable to restrain his wonder. Itâs...beautiful. No, that word doesnât describe it; itâs breath-taking. Heâs never seen anything like it. The flowers are otherworldly, and the trees are taller than heâs ever seen. Itâs fantastic -- but he canât shake the feeling of despair. One can paint the bars gold, but a cage is still a CAGE. â ...Youâre serious. Youâre really serious. â He admits to himself in shock, arms rising to embrace himself, and thusly smearing blood across the sleeves of his kimono. â You really expect me to live here. Have you ever even taken care of a human before? We arenât like jewels, you know! What are you even expecting to DO with me? â
kallxope:
His treasure seems amazed as they stand before his hoard, but it doesnât last as long as he had hoped. Cygnus doesnât understand; because how can one turn away from such beauty? All the treasures he has collected for so long⌠kept in perfect condition and each standing out on their own. His most favored one are in a separate; but heâll wait a little with showing his new treasure those, not wanting to overwhelm him too much in one day. His treasure doesnât seem too happy though, making Cygnus frown as he turns to look at him.
So⌠this male had kitsune blood in him. Well, it explained a lot â the inhumane beauty of the other; and it only proved that h was one of a kind. An unique treasure unlike any others. Still, the otherâs words didnât manage to reach him properly at all, but a frown does settle on his features. âItâs alright. This will be a new home â and your family will soon forget you. Humans are⌠fickle like that,â they changed their mind so easily. One day they would worship you; the next day they would hunt you down. They couldnât be trusted. âCome now ââ Iâll show you my nestâŚâ the rest of the otherâs words were dismissed at that; and he led the way again, not having to walk far before he reached his âbedroomâ. It was mostly a lot of blankets and pillows and soft things piled on top of each other, forming a circle with more than enough space for two.Â
â ...What did you just say, you PIECE OF SHIT? â Donât do it; donât lash out. Donât attack him, he isnât human. Heâll tear you to pieces. He has to remind himself of this, despite the way that his hand twitches with the desire to strike this pompous, arrogant, selfish prick across the face. How dare he! How dare he say such things about his family -- the precious people who had taken him in, when no one else would. When his true family was long gone...they alone had offered him a new beginning. He wonât stand for it -- he wonât listen to someone talk about them that way. â Donât you ever talk about my fucking family that way. They would never do such a thing -- just wait. Theyâre already tracking me. Theyâll be on your doorstep in days, and it will be my pleasure to watch them slaughter you. â He feels his blood boiling as the other just walks away; itâs no use. It doesnât matter what he says. This creature is preoccupied with his own selfish desires, and anything that stands in the way of them, be it reason or resistance, is simply ignored. Fuck -- this was worse than heâd initially thought. Even if his family did come for him, they could be killed by this massive, ancient beast.      Despite his rage, he has no choice but to follow as the dragon leads him to an enormous pile of plush cushions and tapestries, of which he seems to have little interest. Was he expected to sleep here? That was it, wasnât it? He was going to be a prisoner here -- an object, just like when he was a child. It makes his stomach turn just thinking about it.

Aah, what a TERRIBLE storm. His hair is soaked, sticking to his pale features, yukata drenched and clinging to the sharp edges and soft curves of his figure as he slips into the nearby building, dripping water along the wooden floor. â Pardon me...Iâm very sorry, but might I stay here until the rain passes? This is a bar, right? I could really use a drink. â
