“Does it really come as a surprise that I’d want to see you?” she asked with a laugh. “You do have time to hang out… right? I’d hate to interrupt you in the middle of a study session or something.”

“I mean, I’m not exactly the interesting twin.” Ceylan answered playfully, offering up a mock pout. “But seriously, there are very few people who I look forward to spending time with as much as you. It is a study session but thankfully it’s not urgent. Did you have plans in mind?”

“I was here for you but now that you mention a movie…” Lila teased before laughing, “I’m just joking, I was wondering if you had gotten dinner yet? Everyone’s already eaten and I don’t want to go down by myself.” 

A joking huff left Ceylan at that comment and the woman arched an eyebrow in the girls direction. “No, I’ve not had dinner yet. I was planning on grabbing a salad or something and bringing it back up but your way sounds far more inviting. Unless you are going to abandon me for that movie.” She laughed.

Zac cleared his throat slightly. “It’s uh, it’s about, honestly I’m not entirely sure, I can just show you,” he replied. Zac opened up his book to the bookmarked page. He showed it to the other. “Do you think you could help?”

“Showing is probably better, thank you.”  Ceylan agreed, taking the book as it was opened up and handed over to her, skimming the writing there. “Ah... yes, I see what you’ve been working on. It’s a tricky little subject area actually, I can see why you might have been a little unsure.  I can help you with this if you want. Let me know when you have some availability and we’ll schedule in some study time. I’ll provide the drinks if you bring some biscuits?” 

“Yes it is, I would never dream of being caught being idiotic. I’m too smart for that, however I’m happy to be caught in my chaos because at least there was some reasonable thought behind what I do and therefore I can argue my way through my actions and their intent.” Eren told his sister, rearranging her pillows on her bed as he spoke so he could make himself more comfortable. “I know I can be demanding, but I do enjoy your company without needing something.” He pointed out, when the other asked what he had been up to since his birthday he couldn’t help but let out a small laugh. “Basking in being that year older and you know the party was just as much for you as it was for me, I hope you enjoyed it as well.”

“Sometimes with your hairbrained schemes you do make me wonder but yes, I am fully aware of your intelligence.” She could never and would never discount that. “Was it now? Because we both know who gets more out of social events like that.” Ceylan didn’t particularly mind however, intimate gatherings were more to her taste when celebrating something important. The party had most definitely been fun but she’d chosen a select few friends to have a more meaningful dinner with on another night. “So is it next year that you start fretting about getting old if this year you are happy to be another year more mature?” 

“Why would I be here for your roommate?” Thea asked the other. “Obviously you’re way more interesting, far more intelligent, and I can tolerate speaking to you. All things that stack up in your favour,” she replied. “Are you up to much right now? Thought we could go for a walk or something.”

“Has my brother been teaching you how to suck up again Thea? You should know by now that he’s a terrible example to follow.” The girl playfully commented, setting down the pen she’d been using and standing up. She stretched her limbs out, the pleasant ache of finally shifting position making itself known after a good amount of time being hunched over her desk. “Actually, a walk would probably be a benefit right now. We could stop and grab a drink too if you’d like?”

“Oh come on now, that’s a little bit harsh now, isn’t it? I wouldn’t say my actions were idiotic, just impulsive and chaotic and before you say anything, yes there is a difference.” He told his sister, moving further into the room and taking a seat on her bed. “I haven’t came to ask for any favor, I just came to spend some family time with my sister, is that not allowed?” He asked, that and he had mostly been holed up with Charlie since his birthday and decided it’d be best to be social with other people.

“Is it? Is it really?” Ceylan couldn’t help but tease Eren, laughing a little as he moved to make himself at home. She was used to this by now and she couldn’t say she minded though on the odd occasion his timing had been less that appropriate. “It’s allowed but you can’t blame me for being suspicious. You can be demanding sometimes.” Still the chair twirled around and Ceylan hooked her legs beneath herself. “So what mischief have you been up to since I left your little get together on our birthday?” Ceylan had merely rolled her eyes when she’d found out about what he was up to, knowing it was fruitless to try and persuade Eren to stay out of trouble, at least in that way. As far as things went, the party had been a tame idea for him. 

“Actually, uh, yeah,” Zac said awkwardly.  “Someone told me you’re really good with magiphilosophy, and I was wondering if you could help me with an assignment.”

The awkwardness of the tone caused the girl to pause for a moment and she glanced at the boy stood in her doorway. The uneasiness radiated somewhat and she offered up a friendly smile. It was rare she was unpleasant to anyone and if she was, they usually deserved her ire. “I think someone might have been singing my praises a little too highly but I’ll help where I can. What is your assignment exactly?”

“Yes, because I tend to come into your room looking for your roommate and not you.” Eren commented, realizing the other mustn’t have looked up to see who it was standing at her door before speaking. “So I guess you’re the lucky one, or the unlucky one, depends on your tolerance levels I guess.”

“After knowing you since we were born, I would say that I am both unlucky and have built up a high tolerance towards your idiocy over the years so I’m more adept at knowing how to handle it.” Ceylan informed her brother with a wry smile as she turned from her desk to observe him. “So what favor have you come to ask for hm, Eren? Usually your presence comes with a catch.”
