Opinion: Paranoiac intervals/Body dysmorphia is BENs in-bodyment
I generally haven’t been able to get it out of my head, and the song I SWR JUST SAYS IT ALL FOR ITS CHARACTER TOO, the themes and actions described, and I need to info dump some were-
(This mainly has to do with the lyrics AND that you can hear multiple voices together at parts but the music itself slaps, ANDDDD the vocabulary, it sounds almost like a squeaky machine kinda producing a product idk if that makes sense but I’m imagining a lemon demon animation to all this so who knows..)
I did a colour coding system type thing with BEN, Kelbris, Moon Children+ Eternity project , Jadusable, and Shara (and Matt ig)
STARTING WITH THE VERY BEGINNING LINES
“haha, they’re drugging us”
“That’s how we are here in the fogs”
Honestly, if a song starting with the simple phrase “haha” that spoke volumes to me—when in the context of BEN’s character— then looking at the words placed right next to it, you wouldn’t exactly find it humorous to be drugged. I wanted to highlight them in green and grey to show, obviously, BEN and the cult’s significance in this song from the point of view of BEN.
I wanted to add songs to the playlist not only to do with the haunted cartridge but also the moon children-
(Edit another thing to add about the drugging could also link to how the accessions (cus we really never know how it’s done or told enough to really dictate how they get chosen, the only thing I could say is the one quote on the wiki that states “Something Something mediaeval practices that are outdated and shouldn’t be executed on children-

“Murder of faces ending prosaic analogues”
All that I got for the definition prosaic is : Dull, unimaginative, and everyday, ordinary.
The first part speaks for itself, but the prosaic analogues could link to the little to no context we get from the Moon Children, mainly because BEN is just goofing by giving sprinkles of information and nothing said outright when it comes to them— very vague really—but in-game could just be the dialogues of characters coded to say specific things.

Come on… between the bromance BEN and jadusable had IT says (correct me if im wrong) something along the lines of giving jadsuable more information then victims before.

The amount of numbers such as 23, 25, and 4 in each arc is uncanny (had me giggling like a high school girl).
Their known for asking rhetorical questions to the player, even stating after “got nothing to say?” As if we have control.

I can’t stop imaging IT have a huge grin saying this-
a-lot i want to say 1. Definition of pavlovian is “a learned, automatic and involuntary response elicited by previously neutral stimulus through classical conditioning” 2. if you look it up and go into imagines it’s all of dogs… yk pets
Yk that one saying “you love like a dog.” U-n-c-o-n-ditional love. The one that naive children would give to any amount of praise if raised without love (I forget that BEN’s wording and views on others is normally a projection of itself lol) especially if theirs BIGGER DOGS that have more authority looking after the LITTLE DOGS that will follow their every beck and order if conditioned too, especially at such a delicate age. Impressionable youths who needed guidance from someone who would show the bare minimum of sympathy.

Another definition : of a deep-seated feeling of aversion.
BENs shown to be hostile and loathing, THEIR DECEITFUL.

Wolfs in sheep’s clothing as well as your not counting wolves when you go to sleep your counting sheep, a nice Segway to how masks work the same “hiding behind a false persona” wether with just appearance or the words they use.

“Death is reunion, though we’ve been over all this before” (a social gathering : a cult in this context, linked with the photo above in game when the game is reset)
“A Prussian christian bot is something I am not” (theres two different lyrics “A blushing christian-bot is something I am not” giggling rn) and it literally says bot)
“I could teach you a lot, I think you’d learn a lot”
“Are you afraid? Or just don’t dare? Or just don’t wanna? Or just don’t wanna?”

Although it is so wasteful keeping all of it inside of me

And then body dysmorphia starts playing, and it’s almost empathy for those who had been forcefully ascended as them— a rare moment of weakness and shared emotions from both (I wouldn’t say that this half fits BEN as well as the rest, but I thought that as a whole it’s a nice final statement on its own.)
