Are you ready for CESTEMBER 2025!?!?

Cestember is a month-long multifandom incest event with daily prompts hosted by Macrocest in September.

This is our second year hosting this event and we are even more excited than last year because of all our new friends!! (Though we are still really proud of last year's prompts and works!)

For this year we have our daily prompts of course; but, we want to change things up a little bit each year to keep it interesting, so this year instead of suggested pairings we have suggested characters. For example, week one, day three we have the suggested character “big sister” and the prompt “Doppelgänger,” so you might write a fic that involves two Elsas—to Anna’s amazement—or, two Annas—to Elsa’s horror. The suggested character could be a large or small part of the scene, it’s up to you.

Remember these are suggestions, not requirements. Feel free to ignore them completely. They are merely to inspire you to branch out and try a new pairing or possibly return to an old favorite. Our AO3 Collection is up-to-date and has tons of new FAQs that might be helpful to you! For example, we specifically state that you do not need to post your work on AO3 (or at all!) to participate. And “imagines” (aka nonspecific little brother x big sister Tumblr-type stories) are now explicitly allowed, as well as rpf, reader-insert, and extremely taboo works. These were always allowed but now it says it loud and clear! (Fluff is absolutely allowed too btw!)

Cestember 2025 Wrap-Up

WOW. This year had an incredible turn out. SEVENTY FIVE FANDOMS and ONE HUNDRED AND NINE WORKS are in the collection so far and I know there are even more to come! (One was added while I was typing this up!) That’s mind-blowing to me because this is (1) a taboo-centered event and (2) only our second year running it.

I loved seeing everyone’s usernames pop-up in my inbox throughout the day and it was really special seeing people who showed up everyday or close to it (shout out to nottheemblem, DaddyTissues , PensieveParadox, bloodbrothers, Ives_Blossom and Francowitch! You all are amazing.)

If you are still planning on completing more Cestember prompts then I am still cheering you on!! I know it’s hard to do events with daily prompts (and intimidating when other writers are posting regularly.) I hope you stick with it, because we always need more shipcest in the world, and you’re just the person to make it happen. We’ll read it when its ready, no rush.

Speaking of, I do plan to make more recap posts for Cestember works, but from here on out I will be doing it under the Macrocest umbrella. So it will be tagged/called “Macrocest Recap” and include more than just works from Cestember, but AnonCest, Macrocest Bingo, Oops Not Incest, Springcest Fest and Macrocest general as well.

I feel so grateful that this community has been so generous, passionate and supportive. I want to thank my friends @litcest, @legsfreaky, and @windytalishar in particular for their unending enthusiasm and help (and for doing writing sprints with me)!

What’s next for Macrocest?

The next event is Macrocest Bingo: Night Edition! More info will be revealed throughout October but I can say this year will have more options than last year (2x2, 3x3, 4x4, and 5x5 cards will be available) and I will be opening up the request form in November, so keep your eye out!
