Le Jury
Belgian detective novels series. 25 issues [1942-1945]. Probably the most famous belgian collection in the field of detective novels. Directed by renowned author Stanislas-André Steeman - who shoved some of his own novels in it - the collection holds the challenge that none of its novels will leave you indifferent [at least, it is my opinion]. Some very original stuff, often strange surroundings, sometimes near to experimental crime novel. I suppose that in another context than this one (enlightened literary direction, Belgium under the boot of the occupant, weaning of Anglo-Saxon and French imports, few commercial imperatives …), none of this would have been possible.
Quasi in parallel ran also a pulp collection entitled “Le Jury” [66 issues.1940-1943]- directed by Steeman.

Underwater by Chester Brown
I’ve never seen these comics in real life but I would like to..
Underwater was published by D&Q from 1994-97 and left unfinished.
“For maybe half a year I’d been forcing myself to work on Underwater despite the fact that I had lost my way. So when my father died, it made me not want to waste my time with projects that weren’t working out.”
— Chester Brown, 2005

Wim Wenders - Written In The West
In preparation for shooting the film PARIS, TEXAS in late 1983, Wim Wenders traveled the West equipped with a 6 x 7 medium format camera searching out subjects and location that would bring that desolate landscape to life.
