sometimes rumi makes solo plans for the day and mira and zoey are like “great! we’re coming along!” and rumi’s like “oh cool! this wasnt a three person plan to begin with but yippee yay now it is!!! more time with my girlfriends!!! 🤩🤩🤩”
and those plans are in fact oftentimes something she really Should Not have brought them along for because they often are business related things that zoey and mira have absolutely no fucking patience for
they’re being absolute menaces throughout the entire thing. theyre throwing shit at each other, laughing about stupid stuff under their breaths, basically climbing on top of her. sometimes they fall asleep in her lap or theyve managed to slip into the gap between her and the back of the seat and fall asleep there (sometimes they both do either, with mira behind her and zoey on her lap being the most common configuration). they try to touch her inappropriately (she nonchalantly bats their hand away). they try to touch each other inappropriately (she grabs their hands and holds them).
just absolute nightmares.
but unlike mira and zoey, rumi doesnt get distracted when they’re there being menaces. she just has that big gay ass smile on her face throughout the entire thing. everything that should be distracting to her isnt ignored, its just processed at the same time as the matter at hand and sorted differently in her mind. shes perfectly focused the entire time. oh you find them distracting? rumi doesnt. no you cant kick them out. rumi doesnt want them kicked out.
someone she has an important meeting with at one point asks her while zoey and mira arent nearby why she lets them come along with her and why she seems so happy when they dont even pay attention and only seem to wanna cause trouble, and she responds “well of course i bring them along. of course im happy when theyre here. who wouldnt happy with the two loves of their life by their side?” and it actually takes them aback bc its so genuine and sweet they almost cry
