The word used, -ppoi, doesn't mean "is", but "-ish/seems"--that is, his appearance might make people think he is. **SYNOPSIS**

"The pain and consciousness seeped out of her body, turning the clear snow crimson right beneath her feet. She almost had him. But almost was never enough in a duel for life or death. With the last remnants of strength, she grasped the handle of the sword impaling her and dragged herself closer to its hilt. The man's eyes widened—he had learnt first-hand not to ever underestimate a crazed, desperate opponent with no regards for their safety.

Her fist bolted towards his neck. He stopped it, knowing it held a smaller blade. With a practiced motion, he pushed her with a kick and before anything else could happen, his sword flashed, cleaving her neck from her body.

As the days passed, rotting her flesh to the marrow of bones, her mind engulfed in darkness, a new scene began emerging from the void. First, a shapeless, dim red light. Then, a feeling of one's body laying in a warm puddle, and sounds of constant, relentless battles. When her body finally responded to her mind, she found herself sitting in a lake of blood stretching far across the dark, featureless horizon, surrounded by screams and cries of faceless, unrecognisable warriors; Vikings, Saxons, Franks, and many others she couldn't even begin to guess.
