So I actually DIDN'T think it was irredeemable bottom-of-the-barrel dogvomit and that if you didn't absolutely HATE it with every fibre of your being you're a dickriding slop-eating media illiterate moron incapable of critical thought 😭
I definitely understand the disappointment and anger, tho. The finale WAS The Jax Movie, unsurprisingly, but I understand what was being said (Tgirl digs her own grave, estrogen could've saved her, etc.) The overall plot, pacing, characters and cohesion for the series as a whole could've REALLY benefited from the extra strengths of a writing team, or at least a cowriter with more experience. The concept and potential vs what we actually got was flawed and underwhelming, and there's so much unexplored/unanswered. It needed better direction and a longer length to find its footing, so it could A. properly achieve the potential it truly COULD have reached and B. not have other character's arcs be sacrificed for the sake of the author's favorite.
I don't think it was The Worst Thing Ever, either. I know the end was "fanfictiony" but I don't really mind lol, I had fun with my friends at the movies and thought the semi-happy ending where they can start to rebuild is sweet.

I'm just content to pick over the corpse of Canon now, lol. At the end of the day, we're all playing with toys in a mind palace. Excited to see what kind of art, fanfic, aus and rewrites people can channel their thoughts, feelings and creativity into! I'm someone who finds a lot of joy in the community that can come from a shared interest, and I've met a lot of awesome people that I wouldn't have otherwise because of this dumbass cartoon. I'm glad it exists, even if it is deeply flawed.
Ragatha ofc didn't get the screentime or focus she TRULY deserved, just like with the rest of the series... But she was adorable, got a hot new outfit in the credits, and she's happy, safe & thriving :) There was also enough Ragapom to put my grubby little claws all over ❤️💙

The TADC twist and ending are worse, more rushed versions of the inanimate insanity twist and ending.
Tl;dr: you want the tadc story but better? Watch a show from 2011

I am also not saying TADC stole its writing from II.
(from my last post) all that being said. Tadc is a badly written show. The female characters deserved MUCH more screentime. Zooble, also, deserved more development. Jax could've and should've been handled more eloquently (and given less screentime). Ribbit and Queenie should've been more prominent characters. We should've explored more areas of the Showgrounds (eg. The carnival). It should've been clarified on if Abstraction is a metaphor for suicide, or something else entirely. There is much more I could add but I'm tired.
This isn't even mentioning the concerning history behind Gooseworx's behavior, as well as Ashley and Michael's racism.
Despite this, I have already bought a ticket. I enjoy this show, and unfortunately, it has had a major impact in my life. I plan to see the movie properly.
All of these takes can coexist. You can acknowledge the faults of a piece of media and still interact with it. (That being said, I don't plan on further purchasing any TADC merch. The only merch I currently own is a bootleg Pomni plushie anyway, so.)

Friendly reminder that, as long as you engage with the media you consume critically and acknowledge it's faults, you aren't a bad person for enjoying something. There have been things made by heinous people throughout years of fandom, and people (particularly neurodivergent individuals) get emotionally attached to things very easily, no matter how well written something may be. You are not a misogynistic homophobic racist if you simply like a show, as long as you know how to decipher what in it was made with negative influence or bias.
