yesterday, i went to watch the backrooms movie with my friends after school, and i HAD TO SAY it was a masterpiece. when i got home, i obviously searched it up on tiktok to see did other people agree with me, and all of a sudden i see "where's the dreamcore?" "where's the partygoers/level (insert number)?". I get it, I mean the dreamcore version has been more popular and more interesting rather than the Kane lore, yet the Kane lore made more sense if the backrooms was real. Dreamcore Backrooms was just based purely off aesthetic, and I get it, we all want something aesthetic and fit to what we know more, but the Kane lore made more sense. For example, if the backrooms were real, there wouldn't be level "kitty's house" or "level !". it would just be the big room we know today and "the bacteria" entity. Another thing I heard off TikTok was "it doesn't make sense!! it's just a guy walking around for the entirety of the movie!!". yeah, that's the fucking point of the backrooms, you walk. You're not gonna befriend entities or something, because they don't care about you. "the ending made no sense!!!", yes it did. (spoiler): Mary (the therapist), her kind of body/corpse is there with the deformities of her. As Clark stated "It remembers them..", he's referring to the people that have been trapped in the backrooms.
