anyway time to move another 10k lbs of earth 😃

when i tell people who don’t have gardens that i’m gardening they usually say “oh how relaxing!!” and sometimes follow up with “i hope to have a garden someday.” i just smile and agree because i don’t have the heart to say “no actually, it’s brutally difficult manual labor, but so worth it!” i trust they will find out eventually. and if they were truly meant to garden it will be worth it to them too.

Smoke and Stack’s neutering went well and they are both boys!!! actually quite pleased with this news because of their namesakes. i also learned how to give vaccines to cats and she gave me enough to finish them up for the year.

on a lighter note, my current favorite bit is whispering “time to feed the septic tank” whenever i have to take a shit.

i also think “bitchless behavior” does put some amount of blame on other women for not having enough sex with him. idk how to really articulate it, but it’s got an incel vibe about it. and using bitch in this context is kind of icky, but i’m not here to police how a woman deals with her trauma. which is why i am ranting in my semi-private diary instead of commenting on instagram.

while i’m on a roll ranting about men: i saw a reel of a woman talking about her experience being drugged. she was thankfully able to recognize what was happening immediately and her and her friends got to safety. while she was explaining what was going on she kept calling it “bitchless behavior” and i just want to be so fucking for real right now. men do not spike drinks because they can’t get laid, men spike drinks because they like to rape. many of them have active sex lives with consenting partners. calling it “bitchless behavior” just minimizes it to an act of desperation, rather what it is which is an act of intentional violence. rapists are not desperate, starving animals chewing on their own leg to survive, they are rapists. they rape because they like to rape.

also my best friend from high school who graduated cosmetology school said my lipstick looks perfect with the sunglasses so i think i’m going to trust the experts on this one.

woke up at 4am to get the kittens to their spay appointment and my cats instantly started losing it. yes, it’s unusual, you don’t have to pee on the counter about it though…. 😭😭😭😭
