Hello. I apologize for my absence from the blog. I have not yet read the posts he had written, so I hope Odonata has beenā¦ responsible, as much as he can be. As for where I have been, I have been, aheh, pursuing āalternativeā forms of research. Speaking of that, I return with good news, for once. I have finally achieved a breakthrough in my research, and believe I may have found an important factor, if not the source itself, of the Alleliform phenomenon. Alas, I cannot reveal anything yet. But I do have things planned. Big things.
Other than that, not much to report. Hereās hoping all goes well going forward. Once again, apologies for my absence. Science comes first, after all.
odonata again! Sorry for the long wait, everyone, got caught up with someā¦. Science-y business! Yeah! Definitely that, and not me forgetting! Yeahhhhhhh. Anyways, jasper keeps pushing me to talk about the work we do on the lab, but i think thatās a stupid idea, so Iām not gonna do that! Plus, codon probably bores you all with the work talk anyways, so why not switch it up a little? So, us here at cellularis labs are located in the Danaai region, yeah? And it has come to my attention that hey, maybe not everyone has heard of danaai! So amaryllis suggested I talk about it, a much much better suggestion than jasperās. So!! Letās talk about danaai! so danaaiās a pretty small region, yeah. We donāt really have many pokemon unique to here, and those that are are pretty damn rare. We have a pokemon league, technically? Itās not very popular though, we havenāt had a proper challenge in years! Itās not bad by any means, justā¦ overlooked, yeah? I actually attempted a challenge a few years before I started working here, though I didnāt reaaaaally get too far. It was still pretty fun, though!! I keep telling codon he should try it, heās got some crazy strong pokemon and knows how to use them! Itās wild, man, I donāt see him battle often, but he, like, gets into this zone, yknow? Iām sure he could make it all the way to champion if he tried! Ooother than that, though, we. Uh. Donāt really have much. Our whole contest scene died out years ago, and danaai based media tends to be pretty overlooked. That on top of our colder climate makes us faaaar from a tourist hot spot, weāre really no alola, yeah?
thoughhhhh, just between you and me, if any of you ever find yourself in vacuent city, I know a ton of great local spots Iād love to share!! Pay us a visit if youāre ever close, yeah?
not really much more to talk about, to be honest. Iāve heard danaai has some crazy mythology, buuut I donāt really know much. Thatās more codonās thing, heās been getting real into that lately. So!! Thereās my post for today, and a much better topic than jasper suggested. Take that, jasper!!! >:D

So I figure that since Iām gonna try to post about what goes on here at the lab like codon was sorta doing (I think? the man uses so many big boring words itās hard to stay awake, lol), I think I should start by taking about the actual people who make this old place a lab!! By that I mean the researchers here! That makes sense, right? Anyways, from the looks of it codon hasnāt really mentioned much about any of us, so Iāll get to do the honours!!
first of all, we have codon!! technically heās our boss or whatever, but you really wouldnāt know it looking at him! Sometimes I get the feeling he doesnāt really like us, but honestly I think thatās just the vibes he gives to everyone. Well, everyone except for that one ghosty trainer who used to come around, he has a real soft spot for them!! Wonder whyā¦ Anyways, youāre probably pretty familiar with him by now seeing as heās the one running this thing, so not gonna linger on him too long.
now uhh. Iāll admit I donāt know amaryllis that well. Iām still pretty new here, and she mostly keeps to itself, yeah? Anyways, sheās a poison type specialist, and our resident toxicologist! Apparently itās been here since the labās āglory daysā, whatever those were. Though sheās been here longer than even codon, did you know? Sheās helpful to have around when working with poison type pokemon, anyways, so I really canāt make any complaints!
I canāt say the same for jasper though!! Suuure, heās an āexpert geologistā and āhas experience with things like terastallization and mega evolutionā or whatever, heās super annoying!!!! I donāt care how useful he is to the project, he is seriously no fun!!! I pull one little prank, a tiny little joke, and he just goes ballistic on me!! Like come on, nobody got hurt that time!! He is seriously the worst!! I donāt get why heās payed more than meā¦
aaaand finally, me!!! Iām the newest here, but I like to think Iām the resident cool guy of the lab!! I mean, I guess Iām technically the bug guy or whatever, but I like to think of that as a cool guy thing, yeah? jasper says he ādoesnāt get why I was hired on, what do bugs have to do with this phenomenon?ā, but jasper doesnāt know anything! so I say āwell, the first case of the thing being induced was in a bug type, so I think thatās reason enough for me to be here!ā, a really cool and valid argument! And then I add on āplus, what do rocks have to do with this, huh?ā, and he goes āall similar phenomenon in the past have been linked to a stone or crystal in some wayā which is a stupid argument, but whatever. At least codon backed me up, so take that, jasper! Aaaanyways, thatās pretty much all I wanna be writing right now, and Iām sure youāll get to know me better soon!! In the meantime, I think I might go check in on codonā¦

Ah, I return from my region-mandated break to some good and bad news from the lab. The good news, we have had success in artificially triggering the Alleliform phenomenon in lab, and managed to successfully keep the state stabilized for a few minutes. Which isā¦ not long, admittedly, but longer than anything we have managed before. The bad news is this experiment seems to have completely wrecked a good amount of our equipment, meaning we will have to dip into our funding to properly repair what we can, and replace what we must. Iām hoping we have enough saved that it wonāt impact pay too much, though I should look into picking up some gig work for the time being, just in caseā¦
Rrgh, itās all so frustrating. It seems that despite how deeply the tourism board is relying on the Alleliform phenomenon to bring in foreign trainers, they seem to forget that the research requires proper funding in order to reach the level of success they want. Iā¦ understand we are far from a rich region, butā¦ do they really have to give us so little?
I question why I put up with this stillā¦

Unfortunately, my coworkers have decided to set up pelipper mail for the lab. They have insisted that I announce this here. Also unfortunately, this means that I will have to deal with whatever comes from this decision. Wonderful.

Once again, we get more work dumped on us by the tourism board. And once again, the task falls to me to figure out. I donāt blame my coworkers, they do more than enough to keep our facility running, butā¦ I canāt help but feel that the board is taking advantage of us. I understand that our region is fairly small, we donāt have any large battle leagues or contest scenes, and our myths and legends have mostly faded from the publicās consciousness, only really cared about by a few. The one thing that sets us apart from other regions is the Alleliform phenomenon, so I can understand why they would want to take advantage of this, butā¦
It still seems unfair all the work should fall to our team. I donāt see why we should be the ones to solve this mystery, it isnāt like weāll be getting much creditā¦ Itās likely weāll still end up understaffed and underfunded, even if the region gets the ārevitalizationā theyāve been pushing for. Grh.

Ah, thank you. I really should do a better job at posting about actual lab work, reallyā¦ I still have no idea why I was selected to run this blog, as my coworkers would probably do much better with the whole āpublic imageā thing. Annoying that Iām forced to do this in the first place, really, I donāt see how this could ādraw tourismā into Danaai... Still, Iām glad youāre enjoying it, anon. Thank you.
Research has beenā¦ frustrating, lately. I understand progress is slow, but with no new discoveries in monthsā¦ I canāt help but feel like weāre going in circles. It seems as if no matter what we try, everything always comes back the same.
The Alleliform phenomenon is still new, only around a year since the first observed occurrence, and barely half since it was able to be artificially induced in a controlled environment. Still, weāre being pushed to develop a way to fully utilize its potential more and more, and if weā¦ if I canāt even fully understand it, how can I possibly succeed?
Perhaps I should return to this laterā¦ Iāve been told not to overwork, after all.
Ah, apologies for the delayed update. Mito had stolen my phone while I was out, and once I had managed to retrieve it, we were shortly struck with a series of power outages from a passing storm.
Both the beldum and Myria are safe and healthy, and we have confirmed that the former is, in fact, a released pokemon. Unfortunate, as it also seems to be egg-hatched, as the nurse noted signs of malnutrition as it would be unable to hunt and, by extension, survive in the wild. Taking this into account, my coworkers have enthusiastically accepted it into the lab as a sort of āmascotā, it seems. I suppose I canāt complain, Myria seems happy her friend is sticking around, and my coworkers have been thrilled at the idea.
So in short, the beldum is safe and healthy, and is going to be staying in the lab for the foreseeable future, as it cannot return to the wild. Once again, apologies for the delay.
