Scarlett - Mesprit

Well for starters they’re both pink

But on a more serious note, Scarlett is probably the most empathetic and emotionally intelligent character in the game and Mesprit is the being of emotion

Ava - Azelf

Ava is extremely headstrong and impulsive and Azelf is the being of willpower

HGSS Pokedex: “This Pokémon is said to have endowed humans with the determination needed to face any of life's difficulties.” 

She’s often the one leading the charge (or motivating the player character) so it seems like a good fit

MC - Uxie

Finding knowledge is vital for the main character’s survival and strength in game, and Uxie is the being of knowledge

HGSS Pokedex: “According to some sources, this Pokémon provided people with the intelligence necessary to solve various problems.”

The MC solves people’s problems all the time lmao

They’re also often recruited to investigate and seek out information

From the Diamond Pokedex: “It is said that it can wipe out the memory of those who see its eyes.”

Hmm.
