My take on a fangan re-write...
As the title suggests, this post of mine is on re-writing a fangan that I felt that everyone forgot...Danganronpa Rebirth. I remember reading the others and I thought why not? So here's mine called Danganronpa Rebirth, Reset, Regrow.
First thing off the bat what is weird for some, there will be NO traitor or mastermind! Mikoto is the protagonist, Maiko is the support, and Akira is the antagonist
Now...let's get to the deaths and motives...
SPOILERS TO THE REBIRTH VOICES AND MIWASHIBA VERSIONS OF THIS!
Note: Two of the motives may be similar/inspired from the canon danganronpa's or t3tr0

CH 1 (Name inspired by @timeywimeyaqarion Despair Day To You!) [Nighttime Alarms]-
Despite how this motive may sound weak, but this can easily take a toll on a lot of people given how being suddenly taken from your life to an unknown school where you are forced too kill...yeah...those alarms will get to you. The alarm usually goes off at 9PM, 11 PM, 1 AM, 3 AM, and the last one at 5AM, essentially it goes off every 2 hours. With that, one student must go out to the cafeteria to turn it off, the alarm gets louder as time elapses, and failure to do so the alarms would stack up since each alarm has their own tones. Sadly, it really got to Kasumi, right as she was going to shut it off, she runs into Kego, who was having issues turning it off since he's never done it, with that, Kasumi kills him then would shut the alarm off after hiding the body in one of the washing machines in the Laundry Room.
CH 2 (Unwilling Cries Of The Objecting Aims) [48hr Targets]-
This motive is from Rebirth Voices themselves! I felt that this motive was too good to replace! Below you can see who has each other for this motive. The name in the boxes is who the recipient, and the picture is their target.
Unfortunately like in Voices, someone decided to go after someone that is NOT their target and the trial went on. Turns out that it was Misuzu had killed Narumi given how she was there in the Laundry Room in the last case and didn't bother saying anything because she was threatened to by Kasumi.
CH3 (Served First, But Came In Last) [Motive Mixtapes]-
Inspired from Danganronpa V3 chapter 2 motive videos, these motive mixtapes are given to each student. Until the next killing takes place, a randomly picked student is made to play their mixtape which is an audio recording of one of their most EMBARASSING moments in a morning meeting at the Gym. Soon after the first few mixtapes, Akira has been found dead...during the investigation...Ayumu was also found dead too. Thanks to the Monodora Files, it was deducted that Ayumu died first. But there was still the question if Akira's death had any impact, and it did...because there was a second culprit who had worked with Ayumu's culprit...Mikoto reveals that Ayumu's culprit was none other than Maiko, and after she folded, she revealed that Mitsunari killed Akira thanks to not wanting his mixtape to be played given how his was next...and he didn't take it well...Maiko was then executed with a dislocated shoulder after his outburst...
CH4 (Solo Ballad Of All Who Wants Redemption) [Afternoon Games]-
We've had morning games, and night games, so why not games in the middle of the afternoon? With that, the games are: Decision Game, Confession Game, Cage Game, Loyalty Game, Reward Game, Voter Game, and Defense Game. Note, most people was basically shunning Mistunari given that he killed and gotten away. Despite him being an antagonist to Mikoto, Akira's contributions were notable given how he was surprisingly good in the investigations, but decided to keep this information to himself just so he can have his fun...which was the main motive on why Mitsunari killed him. Speaking of which, each game's severity of the secrets, tasks, or anything that affected the students would get worse, eventually, after one of the games, Mitsunari caves in from the pressure of the games along with the group isolating him, he purposefully...eliminates himself during one of the games :(
CH5 (Homestretch Of Vulnerability) [Student Markings]-
As what it states, each student would get a mark on their body where they are more vulnerable. BUT THERE'S A TWIST!!! Monodora will have one too! This boosted the morale of the students greatly given how they have been through enough like how anybody would've gone through if they've been in a killing game. Eventually, an alarm goes off, everybody meets up to find Seishi standing by a dead Monodora. As everyone was going to celebrarte and survive...the Spears of Gungnir spring out and kill Seishi on the spot...a pre-recorded video plays of Monodora if he dies in the motive saying that...he NEVER had a spot to begin with...he LIED about joining the motive and Seishi broke the rule of harming the headmaster on a TECHNICALITY...and given how he felt "generous"...Monodora would announce that in the event that he were to be killed from the motive, then this will count as a trial, and the remaining students would...graduate...
Survivors!/Epilogue (Spearminted Depature Of Our Beloved Hitman)
Mikoto Itsuki:
Despite this being a given on how she was made to be the protag, Mikoto was known to be a bit of an arrogant person, it especially showed in the first episode on the CH2 trial of Rebirth Voices. With all of that, Mikoto went through a LOT of reality checks and had a great amount of character development. And like in Rebirth Voices, I decided to have her be a Future Foundation agent, she is the only one by the way, but managed to get the foundation to come and save the rest.
Saiji Rokudou:
I decided to keep him since he would be a GREAT help because as the cases go on, the Monodora Files would have the information be redacted in a way, the cause of death was cut off in chapter 2's case along with if there were any extra injuries. With that, one of the classrooms on the second floor was made into an autopsy room given how the next bodies found didn't have a cause of death stated on the future ones. It's also noted that Saiji was VERY betrayed that Maiko had killed someone, especially that its Ayumu, aside from that, he was very close friends with the two. Thankfully, he had support from the others to keep going, and may catch feelings for another survivor [You'll see who ;) ]
Aruma Todoroki:
I was tempted to have her to die...but I remember seeing an animation of her being a survivor, so maybe I thought of coming up on how she can...so here we are. Aruma at some point of the game would be attacked due to her p3rv3rted nature and gets this huge "something traumatic happened that changed my life check" moment, this might happen somewhere in CH4. Besides that, as she was in the medbay healing, she and Mikoto would talk about the game, and it would end up into them talking about each other, they relate on that they both went through a HUGE reality check and character development.
Marin Mizuta:
Well now! This is someone I REALLY wanted to survive since she showed to be a good help in Rebirth Voices' 2nd trial where she doubted that the Ice Rink was where Kego died. Anyways, I feel that in the game, Marin would get more capable, like being a HUGE help with investigating, and maybe carry a trial like Yaitabashi in T3tr0 Danganronpa Blue for example. Plus, having Marin snap and crash out would be a BIG plot point give how she gives so much trust and respect to others only to find out that they killed someone dear to her.
Nico Himuro:
Another one I wish that survived. In Rebirth Voices, she was the 1st culprit, the students were just APALLED that she was the culprit, and the impact carried over given that she killed Maiko who was a friend of hers and that Saiji was close to Maiko too. But going back on track, Nico would probably have something similar to Marin where she just feels too comfortable with others too easily, with that, her and Marin would end up being close friends given how they have the same issue of being too trusting.
Kazuomi Samejima:
"Again? You chose him to survive?". Yes I feel it all coming, but the thing is that I felt that he was a VERY complex character in Rebirth Voices, there were many parts where I wished that stayed, there was even an arc for him given that he was gay in Rebirth Voices. Plus, there was a re-write I saw where he actually had feelings for Saiji, and I LOVED that ship. So here we are in this where we have doomed yaoi because Kazuomi's the one that attacked Aruma...and Saiji felt heartbroken because his crush attacked someone and injured them badly. Please note that Aruma was just attacked, she didn't almost die from it. Also its said that he has a softer side that came out in the later part of Rebirth Voices, so I felt that during a freetime event, he would talk with Mikoto about their relationships with the other students and what their opinions are on eachother. (Oh and he and Saiji would get married a couple of years after the game :D)
