as  per  the  other’s  request  ,  desirae  was  quickly  getting  ready  to  meet  celeste  and  go  to  the  cheesecake  factory.  it’d  been  a  while  since  she’d  treated  herself  to  something  extra  sweet  ,  often  opting  for  a  smoothie  or  avoiding  them  altogether.  but  she  figures  she  deserves  it  with  all  the  mental  gymnastics  she’s  been  doing  about  the  whole  baby  thing.  ❛  do  you  know  what  you’re  gonna  get  ?  ❜  questions  the  second  she  sees  celeste  ,  beaming  at  them.  ❛  and  i  know  i’m  no  tinder  date  of  yours  ,  but  i’m  happy  to  pay  if  you  want  ?  ❜

                   jazz traveled all across the apartment. if one were to follow the sultry melodies, they’d find celeste draped upon her VANITY, as close to the mirror as she could, carefully applying a crimson liquid over her lips. windows took up most of her bedroom’s right wall, the night sky the perfect backdrop for a night out. she moves back slowly, observing and comparing the shade to her own complexion, only to disappointingly pout as she wiped it off. to think celeste is full of herself, is to not really KNOW her. however, it’s a first impression she’s used to receiving, taking into account how much time she puts into her looks. yet, if one would take the time to compare, she takes the same amount of time picking out a new sofa, choosing colors on a palette for a new canvas, even METICULOUSLY painting patterns on her bathroom walls. celeste can only settle on the thought that art is everything she surrounds herself with, every way she chooses to express herself. whether that’s a full face of makeup or a bare face stained with acrylic paint. there’s no doubt this is the core reason she feels so at ease around reid to be as extravagant as possible. there was no judgement, instead, encouragement, and she couldn’t be more GRATEFUL for such a breath of fresh air.

                   dresses and suits alike are sprawled across her bed, unsure of what to choose. some made of SILK, others velvet, all very colorful. she turns in her seat, sipping on a champagne flute, silently contemplating. maybe it’s her anticipation, but she easily hears her doorbell over the music, lacing her robe together as she SKIPPED out of her room, before abruptly stopping in her tracks, turning around and reaching for her favorite fragrance, spraying it the usual places, and also at the tips of her curled dark hair.
