I learned one thing through this year.

The universe has it's way with everything, and anything is possible.

So when I step foot inside my new school, I can't help but think that I've done more than enough.

"Hi," A boy walks up to me. "Can I have your number?"

I smile. "Sorry, I'm not interested."

"One date."

"I-"

"She said no."

"You heard her."

That's right. Because just because the universe said no doesn't mean that you shouldn't fight against it.

What does star crossed mean?

It means us. Us.

Dear Crescent,

As you distance yourself from me, I find one thing right before my eyes. We are star crossed.

When we were younger, I used to joke about how I didn't believe in the stars, that fate didn't exist, that we all paved out own space in society. Now that I stare at everything we did to end up together, I find that fate never intended for us to date to begin with.

You're free spirited, running wild at any chance you get. I calculate my every move, in fear that I'll lose something precious. We're the moon and the stars. Best friends, yet so far away from each other.

So as our story folds into a close, I think you should know something. You are loved. Whether it's by Sun, by me, by A, by Z. You are loved. Every single one of us that you've been close to before, we all still love you. So chase that star of yours, run up to the sky, and then bring that star with you. And you'll find that there are people waiting to catch you.

As I find Mint and I growing apart despite him still liking me in these last days, I think I know where I will settle now. The stars aren't just crossed for Sun and I, they are crossed for everyone with me. The moon is closer to the stars than anything else.

Mint shows me around the dorm we'll be sharing.

Yes. I'm sharing a dorm with him. I'm going to die-

"It's... a week before I finish" I mumble.

"Have you still been sending-"

"No but I've been rejected at least once each day," I hum. "I don't fear being turned down anymore."

Mint reminded me of something today while I was breaking down.

No one is without their insecurities.

I found it funny that I still remained friends with them despite ditching them for a month.

What are friends?
