So I had been PUG’ing away at dungeons trying to get my iLvl to 230 to finish the 3.5 MSQ, and hit what I thought was a glitch. It’s been a while since I last played an IA, so I am not sure, this really makes sense: If I didn’t miss a meeting, then I may have a possible explanation. After Belsavis the IA travels to the Tytun Rings to retrieve a holo recording of a Star Cabal conference. The first screenshot above shows a part of the recording. It’s the only time I remember Nok Drayen being shown in IA chapter 3. Nok Drayen is no participant of the meeting in the Star Chamber after Corellia. Back on Dromund Kaas the fragments found at the Tytun Rings are processed. Keeper (former Watcher Two) states the recording is 6 months old (second screenshot). 6 month would still leave a huge gap between somewhere at the end of 3643 and the first quarter of 3641. Watcher Nine (third screenshot) says the different participants talk on different datastreams. We know the recording contains the holo trap to overwhelm the genetically enhanced Intelligence personnel, so it has clearly been tampered with. Immo it’s safe to assume the Star Cabal wanted the recording to be found, which makes me mistrust its content. The recording could have been composed out of various independent transmissions, and made to look like it was 6 months old. If that were the case, then the recording of Nok Drayen could very well be much older. In the shown recording Nok Drayen talks about the loss of the Old man, even offers his sympathies, and wonders that it might be difficult to replace him. But the Old Man was killed by the IA on Tatooine several months earlier. Why would Nok Drayen talk about this so much later? An organization like the Star Cabal would have dealt with the Old Man’s succession by then, wouldn’t they? Immo it makes more sense for him to say this if his thawing lies much closer to IA Tatooine, which the end of smuggler Alderaan does, if the storylines happen at the same time.
Please feel free to let me know what you think of this theory.
If the recording is spliced together, it might help to explain some of the inconsistencies, but not all of them. He knows things have happened, talks about the Old Man dying, and all of this in non-labored breathing. If we are to believe any of this, heres the order of events:
-- 6 months before the Imperial Agents ch3, Star Cabal meets to discuss state of galaxy, with Nok Drayen, Lem Leksende, The Prince, and others in attendance
-- Imperial Agent has killed the Old Man, something Nok Drayen mentions, so you have to assume it was before the above meeting.
-- If we assume the meeting took place 6 months prior, the only time that makes sense in regards to the Smuggler storyline, is shortly after coming out of carbon freeze, while the Smuggler is off trying to get the reliquary, which can make sense if a few days pass. But I look at what happens when the Smuggler returns, Nok is coughing up a lung, wheezing, and getting ready to keel over. The hologram version was doing none of that. And remember, Nok’s been in carbon freeze for 10 years, after upsetting whatever balance existed in the Underworld.
-- And this is on top of all of the other things found in the different class stories that are intertwined, such as the Emperors Children awakening and such. Months, or years could have passed in order for some of those events to have occurred. Some events are easier to assume could have happened relatively close together, like within days, but others not so much.
Again, this is why I wish they would give us a definitive, timeline, using the class and companion storylines. My own theory has the main class and companion storylines happening over about a 12 to 15 year span.

HOBOY, is my headcanon timeline seriously fucked or what?
Oh wow, the last time I tried to SWTOR Timeline, Wookiepedia listed everything from Makeb to Yavin 4/Ziost as happening in the same year. This timeline makes much more sense now, and lines up pretty well with what I had headcanoned!
Think I need to bump the ages of everyone in the Renatus Legacy up a year or so. Time to math!

You know, it’d be nice if the powers that be could get their shit straight on the first go round, because now my ENTIRE timeline is fucked. Awesome. Fantastic. I certainly haven’t rewritten this calendar enough times already, no sir.
Actually … having thought about it while I get a cup of coffee … you know what, no. Fuck that. It’s staying the way it is. Rewriting it again is going to require a cascading chain of edits to a fic already pushing 160k words. I’m not doing it until I do my final rewrite and edit when the beast is done.
(But seriously, they couldn’t see how packing all this shit in the same year was not particularly plausible to begin with?)
Started trying to cobble together my own timeline recently and I had 13 ATC for the start of Chapter 1, 15 ATC for the main events of SoR and 16 for Ziost, so I’m not too fucked, but now I’m trying to remember where I got 13 ATC from and why that’s so different from this.
(Also I’m not too fucked because I haven’t written anything specifically referring to any dates yet and am only using the timeline as my own mental reference for how old everyone is, so score one for being vague about dates in my fic, I guess.)

Recreating 1.0 Gridania in RPG Maker VX Ace and I could stiilll use some screenshots. Also, some screenshots and map locations of where dungeons in the Black Shroud were, as well as different landmarks and hamlets would be nice. :>
On that note, my 1.0 remake looks totally nothing like 1.0. But I just wanna get most of the NPCs/Buildings in the maps at least! :P

I don’t recall if Mun-Tuy Cellar and Tam-tara Deepcroft were in at launch, but they were non-instanced. I do remember they added Thousand Maws at some point, because you needed at least 2 people in a party to enter the dungeon.
So what I really want to know about the Star Wars universe is the pre-tech stuff. You find an ancient tomb, and in it is - an ancient star map. You can’t tell me these civilizations all developed spaceflight and hyperspace tech right out the gate, though? What about all of the stone age and bronze age and pre-writing, pictograph age, pre-printing ages? There’s never anything that’s pre-tech and I want to see that. I want to see what these civilizations were like before spaceflight, before droids. Is it just that everything’s been around so long that they’ve lost and destroyed those first, primal worlds? I find it hard to believe, given how many cultures have a ‘homeworld’ with no record of anything before.
I think I have a new character idea, now I just need some actual canon lore to back him up. (There could be info out there I haven’t found, I don’t claim to be a lore guru.)
As I recall, according to stuff found on Wookiepedia (and it is Legacy now) regarding the Rakata and their Infinite Empire, the Gree, the Celestials, there was tech lying around on a bunch of these conquered worlds that the developed humanoids just had to learn to re-engineer or learn how it worked. It was interesting to see the Voss stuff because they have not been mentioned previously that I recall, so the beginnings of their civilization are unknown. The actual Sith species may be another, as according to the stuff with Gav and Jori Daragon, the Sith were tribal with some technology wielded by Naga Sadow.
Its cool to find someone else interested in these civilizations before they were discovered, conquered, etc...
