âIââ Taeyeon is offended, sort of. To think she needs to act on someone elseâs behalf to warn a girl about the dangers of boys. âNo! Iâm telling you out of the goodness of my heart.â She huffs a little, shoving the bowl into Sejeongâs lap.Â
Just like the adult she is.Â
âBad boys arenât the ones you have to watch out for. Sure, theyâre fun for a while, but most of the time you grow out of them or they grow out of it. Bad boys are just childâs play.âÂ
Which was true, at least in her experience. Taeyeon has had her share of âbad boysâ in her teen years, the ones who went around crashing clubs and dragging her into their cars for a bit of fun. The ones who smoke out the back alleys with her and only encouraged her terrible, terrible teenage ways.Â
But, she grew out of it.Â
Other things came before her bad boys and the appeal faded.Â
âItâs the good ones. The ones who are all nice and fall in love with you and promise you everything. Iâm speaking from experience here.â Bitter, bitter experience. With a long pause, Taeyeon pulls a pillow into her lap and hugs it close, chewing on her lip. How was she supposed to put this lightly?Â
âMy last boyfriend⌠he died.â Not a technical lie. Since that hopeful night of promises, Taeyeon hasnât seen nor heard from him. âI mean, Iâm assuming. He was so nice Sejeong. We really loved each other, but itâs hard to date and be a hero.â Not that she was. But his circumstances were as such.Â
âYou never know if youâre gonna make it to the next day. So really⌠I should say the last boy I kissed died and thatâs why you shouldnât date.âÂ
sejeong was used to people giving her advice but not much on anything such as love due to the fact that she never ends up listening. or that she never looks like she is but most times, she sort of does take all those words to heart. ânothing wrong with being open to all sorts of people, right? youâll never know what you might in them.âÂ
listening to her words right now, she could say that she was being just a little careless... her brothers would say so but then again, they could have been with worse people. which is nothing but an assumption. boys will be boys. love can be considered tissues, which you use and throw away or the meaning of it could be much deeper than that.Â
well she didnât expect that, biting the bottom of her lip on instinct. she can guess that something like that could happen to a few people, losing the people you love but that didnât mean that sejeong was used to hearing about it. she could already tell that taeyeon was going to give her advice from the start of when she arrived and she only had thought about listening. taeyeon had experience and she hadnât but sejeong could learn by just watching and listening for now.Â
âi understand something like that could pull you away from dating and snatching a boyfriend but how else are you going to be happy with someone if you never open your heart? well, again?â sejeong shrugs after that, not wanting to say anything more if it would eventually look like she was prying on taeyeonâs love life. what does she know about it?Â
âi mean what you said can technically be true. the whole dating thing and being a hero? if the other was human, that is but itâs still a little hard to live normally.â with that, she manages to let out a sigh after the words escaped her lips. sejeong shoots her a look of sympathy that just says, âsorry about what happened to your last boyfriendâ and feeling a little dejected but she tried not to let it show on her face. she leans her back towards the arm rest, her legs stretched and resting on top of the pillow.Â
âthey tell me that boys who promise you the world are also the risky ones, in their own way. i mean, they put everything on the line for you, even their life and a lot more. isnât that stressful?â
as soon as she knew it, sejeong has been paying more attention to taeyeonâs love life than her own so she clears her throat, placing some popcorn towards her mouth and popping them in but maybe it would help her decipher her own feelings afterward, who knows.
