That small kernel of warmth that had been re-ignited inside of her warmed with the praise from her friend and it was moments like this that made her know she had done the right thing for herself. “You know, I think that’s exactly what my new place needs,” she joked. “I thought it would be lonely,” she admitted, “But I don’t think I’ve had a minute to even feel the slightest bit lonely. If anything, I feel like I have more people around than before.” She smiled gratefully at Nora, squeezing the other’s hands. “Thank you. Soon enough I’ll be able to have the two of you over for a family dinner at my place. We’ll really make it a home.”
"Oh, I'm sure it's sorely lacking in stickmen," Nora beamed, letting out a laugh. "Oh trust me, Beks, you're never alone. You have us, always. Okay? Jace and I are never going anywhere," Even if her brother was an absolute ass, she added in her head. She smiled softly back, squeezing the other's hands back in response. "Just let us know when and we'll be there."
