JOHN: We used to have this saying that I used to chant and they would answer. When they were depressed and thinking the group was going nowhere, and this is a shitty deal, and we’re in a shitty dressing room, I’d say, “Where are we going, fellas?!” And they’d go, “To the top, Johnny!” And I’d say, “Where’s that, fellas?!” And they’d say, “To the toppermost of the poppermost, Johnny!” And I’d say, “Riiiiight!” And we’d all cheer up.  PAUL: I always liken us to four corners of a square. People say, ‘John was-’ or ‘John and Paul were the important ones.’ And so and so, and so and so. But I say, ‘No, no, it’s a square.’ Without any of those corners, you collapse. GEORGE: We were tight. That was one thing to be said about us: we were really tight as friends. We could argue a lot amongst ourselves, but we were very, very close to each other.   RINGO: It was magical. There were some really loving, caring moments between four people. A really amazing closeness. Just four guys that really loved each other. It was pretty sensational.
