I certainly hope it is. I’ve heard North Carolina is beautiful in the fall so I’m looking forward to that at least. And the feel of it, you know? Like stepping back in time to the days of frilly dresses and corsets. I’m afraid once I get there I won’t want to leave.

Its called The Codex. I actually have enough copies for everyone so whenever you feel like coming by. I leave out on the 10th so if you want it before then, just let me know. If not, you’re more than welcome to meet me at the Barnes and Noble the day I get back from my trip and I’ll have it for you then. 

It’s lovely, there are some beautiful little getaways there. I, personally, love the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, though and all the little pioneer places around the area. I totally get the stepping back in time thing. 

Yea! It’s not too bad, and the view is well worth the trip.  Maybe this’ll be your new permanent hiking spot.  Do you hike a lot?

Maybe! Thanks. Yeah, I usually try to get out and hike on the weekend. During the week, I go to an indoor rock climbing centre. What about yourself?

Well, my new dog could do with the practice withtracking, so it would come in handy if you did wander off the path, ha. I er… I was closeted for most of my life? This new law kind of made me come out and now I’m finally myself. 

Are you encouraging me to do something stupid and potentially dangerous to give your dog training? Haha, you’re weird. I like it. I could hide up a tree or something? Oh! Really? Congratulations! I’m so glad you can finally be yourself!

Alex: Apparently she went to the doctor to try and get a hysterectomy and went out finding out that she is way more fertile than she thought she was. And now this happened.

Alex: I HADN'T THOUGHT OF MY KID BEING OLDER. That's even weirder. Maybe I can just keep putting off getting pregnant until that happens.

Alex: No, you're not. But you tried and that's what counts.

CC: Yikes.

CC: I mean, either way, they'll be the same age? It's probably not going to matter if you put it off or not?

Alex: My /mom/ got a letter.

Alex: He's younger than my husband.

Alex: He thought I was my mom and tried to hit on me.

Alex: I'm going to have a sibling that's 24 years younger than me.

CC: OK. Firstly, serious? I mean, I know she's young but damn they're making everyone do this. Secondly, Ew, your poor mother. Thirdly, Ew. Poor you. Fourthly, I don't even know what to respond to this. Your kid will probably be older than it's aunt or uncle. Weird. But, having a much younger sibling isn't such a bad thing. Even if my younger brother is only 8 years younger and not 24... Finally, I don't know, either. Just ignore it and hope it goes away? It's your mother's problem, really?

It’s definitely worth it. I like to head there from time to time when work is getting the best of me or if I want to spend time with my sister. You’re definitely welcome. Let me know how you like it. I’m Samir, by the way, in case the username isn’t a dead giveaway ha ha.

That’s exactly what I’m looking for! I’ll let you know. Haha, just a little, but it’s OK coz my name is actually Andrew not CC. ;) So I couldn’t have been 100% sure until we were formally introduced.

That’s a good way to look at it. And I’ve never been to any of the States my agent booked but I just love the last few months of the year and the idea of spending all my time in a hotel room in a city I don’t know is depressing. I wanted to wait until the new year but as per my contract, book signing are part of it. 

Its about a group of four friends who uncover a puzzle box that, once solved, leads them to a treasure. And then of course you have to bad guys who are greedy and want it for themselves and the friends are just looking for an adventure. 

That’s true. I’m sorry you’ll miss it. Maybe it’ll end up being a magical experience even if you’re on the road?

Don’t want you getting lost. Although, my new work dog could use some experience tracking, ha. It really does, but sometimes life is better than your dreams. I don’t mind them, I can sit through them but I couldn’t watch something by myself.  What about you?

Ha ha. Please, if anything, it’ll be me tracking your ass. I can’t say I agree, but I also can’t say my life’s worse than my dreams, so it’s alright. What makes your life better than your dreams? I love them. The thrill of being afraid is great. I prefer to watch them with other people, but I’ll watch then by myself.

Well, she can’t tell you not to jump into muddy rivers anymore, can she? My sister is only two years younger than I am, so it’s not a big age gap. How old is your brother? Oh, I meant it would be nice to not have to drive so far to get back home if the kids weren’t having any fun. I wasn’t concerned with having to take a trip to the hospital. Are state parks that dangerous?

No she cannot. I make a habit of doing it whenever I can, especially if I’m going home to visit. He’s 19 - eight years younger than me. Oh! I thought all parents were worried about their kids getting scraped up. They’re usually safe. Will - my brother - slipped and split his head open on a rock once, when he and I were camping. He was 16 though.

“No, you may not. Don’t touch” He didn’t like to be touched, he also didn’t like being told what to do. Aiden felt a need for dominance and unless you were his mother he didn’t follow orders very well from other people - not even his mother; “I think I’m perfectly fine dealing with this on my own Mary Poppins”

"Then why did you tell me to slow down?” CC asked, rolling her eyes. She got enough ‘male dominance’ at work and definitely didn’t need it while out for a run in the park. Especially when she had to go into the office later. “Suit yourself, big baby.” She shrugged and turned to run off. Let him suffer then, but he could do it where she didn’t have to listen to him.

If you’re willing to travel a bit, there’s a great place about 45 minutes from the city in Nyack, called Mountainview Nature Park.  It’s beautiful, I loved walking around it during the winter when I was a teenager. 

45 minutes? Really? That’s a closer trip that most people have offered. I’ll check it out, thanks. I’m kinda bummed that I didn’t know about it sooner haha.

Well that’s good because I’ve heard some things and I would have been asking if it applies to you or not if you were. Challenges are always good though and Everest definitely sounds like one. You’ll probably like Breakneck Ridge Trail if you head up there before it gets too cold out. 

Yeah? I might have to check that out and bump it to the top of my list if it’s worth it. Why should I do it before it gets too cold, though? Like are you not allowed to do it then or is it more dangerous?
