“How have you been, stranger? It’s been a hot minute. I was thinking you forgot about little old Shell.”

‘I don’t have cooties!           I could never forget that smile. It haunts my dream every night. I’ve been good. I’m pretty excited to be here. Never thought I’d sell my soul to reality television, but so far, so good, especially if it means us being reunited. How about you? How’ve you been?’

MADDY: You know how to treat the queen

MADDY: Be still my heart, you know just how to treat your queen. I'll even let you pick the film just for that

ROSS: I never like to disappoint.

MADDY: Is there a reason I am here without a glass of wine in my hand and no arm wrapped around me?

ROSS: Of course there is, my love.

Honestly, you could’ve mentioned Ross, and Lili would immediately brighten. He was one of those people to her, you know? They were an unlikely pairing, those two — but he remained one of her best friends to this day. And now, here he was. Up close and personal. “Are my eyes deceiving me or is that Ross frickin’ Butler?” With what little movement she had with her arms, she wrapped them around his neck in response, eyes gliding over him with undeniable excitement. “Oh my God — reunited, at last. I missed you so much!”

‘It’s me!           Or at least. It was the last time I checked. I don’t think I’ve changed overnight.’ A low chuckle escaped, burying the terrible joke in blonde hair to press a kiss against the top of Lili’s head. He’d missed her. More than he thought he would in fact. Distance was unfortunately something people in their line of work grew used to overtime. Busy schedules always kept them moving and for the most part, Ross didn’t mind, but when it separated him from his best friend? That was the worst. Bless Big Brother for bringing them back together. ‘The feels are mutual, Lilipad. Life wasn’t the same with that beautiful smile,’ he drew back from their embrace to gently poke her dimple. ‘How’re you?’

“I can’t help it! I have to keep you humble and make sure all the girls ogling at you all day everyday online. You just liked being my little spoon, admit it? You’ve been chasing the rush of those cuddles for years.”

‘That’s exactly it. C’mere, come help fill the void.'

I was wondering who the stranger who was wandering around the hallways. Thought it might be a producer ta be honest, ya mam is probs shaking her head at yous reet now. Grand ta meet ya Ross, Imma Jack.

Are you telling me I could’ve got away with pretending to be a producer? What, what a missed opportunity. Imagine the fun I could’ve had with that one. You too, Jack. I’ve heard plenty from Cami. 

“Where do we even start in a house like this? we do need some  walkie talkies that’s a good either one would do in case we do get separated.” April said looking around on how big the house really is. “Thank you! maybe you can get a different nickname that someone can come up with for you but your name is really cool though.”

‘Maybe we start by leaving to go buy walkie-talkies. As excited as I am to explore, I’m suddenly very anxious we might get separated or lost.’ Okay, maybe not very anxious. In fact, part of Ross enjoyed the excitement of being in a new place. He’d always been fond of living on the edge. However, he was an actor. It was his job to behave dramatically from time to time. ‘Thank you. My mom will be pleased to hear you say that. It took her ages to decide on one. I was just ‘Baby Dino’ all the months she was pregnant and even three days after birth.’ He decides not to tell her his mom still called him that. It’s the kinda nickname a fella tried to keep quiet. ‘What about you? Can you come up with a new nickname for me?’

“Have I met you yet? I honestly can’t remember. I’ve been a wee bit out of it recently. I know you were in Thirteen Reasons Why or whatever that show was called on Netflix. I caught my oldest son watching it sometimes. It’s a pleasure to meet you anyway Ross even if we probably have already met.”

‘Dude.           I can’t believe you don’t remember our deep, meaningful conversation about Michael Sheen. I was singing his praises for hours. I even offered to get a hashtag trending to help persuade him to join. It hurts that you don’t remember. I’m not kidding. I’ve been cut deep.           That’s the right name. I was Zach. He was an idiot. Ask your son, he’ll probably agree.’ 

“You could of got a straight away tour from yours truly, but due to the wait for the introduction not sure if I want to anymore. I’m just joking man, where do you wanna see? Great to meet you Ross, I’m Jesse.”

‘Jesse Lee Soffer, don’t do me dirty like this. Half the reason I haven’t introduced myself yet is because I keep getting lost. I feel like a kid who just stumbled into Neverland.          Anywhere, bro. This is your tour. Show me your favourite place. Just promise to hold my hand while we do it. I’ve got a habit of getting distracted and wandering off when no one is looking. You won’t see me again for days if that happens.’ 

I was wondering who the new guy stumbling around was, I was like is he an old contestant I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting. It’s nice to finally meet you though, I’m Tracy,

It seems a lot of people were wondering that. I wish I’d realised. I could’ve had a good time pretending to be a producer or a ghost. 

“Yes honey it’s me, here for you to worship as always.”

‘You know I never miss an opportunity to worship my Mads. Should I bow now or later?’

‘We are going to have to agree to disagree on that, dude - I, personally, believe that while you’re an attractive guy, I am the better looking Reggie Mantle.” 

‘I guess it’s true when people say denial isn’t just a river in Egypt.’ 

“At this point I’m not sure anyone can really complain if you insert yourself into conversation. Nothing’s really private, is it?.. It’s nice to meet you though, Ross. I’m Melissa - and…probably the only reason you haven’t crash landed into me yet is because I like to hide in uninhabited areas of the house like a gremlin. A social butterfly, I know.” 

‘That’s a valid point. A promising one too. I’ve got a habit of getting a little over-excited and jumping into conversations. Not the most acceptable thing if two people are on a date in the same restaurant, but here? Here, I’ve got that excuse. I’ll be sure to send anyone who questions it in your direction to back me up.         You too, Melissa. Finally. I remember Camila telling me about the day you visited the Riverdale set and I’m not gonna lie, I was pretty jealous. You had me questioning my career choices for a hot sec back then. I never regretted leaving a show more than I did when I saw that photo.’
