I still haven't kicked my butt into gear to finish this costume, but Sara and I made her batgirl in two weeks during finals and she asked me to bring Spoiler so we could get some pictures together! Definitely worth it. Next time I wear Spoiler, I will be finished.

Another photoset of an unfinished costume! College is definitely kicking my butt and I haven't had time to completely finish any of my costumes in 2014, but I definitely wanted to get some shots of what I have so far of Nowi! Making this costume was frustrating, to say the least, which is why I wasn't able to finish in time, but I'll hopefully be able to do a little bit more before Fanime!

What I regret the most is not getting good shots of the back of the wig. I hand dyed it and it's thick and gorgeous! I might post a progress picture I took in a bit because it's probably what I'm most proud of.

Finished my Nowi top tonight!! It's not quuuite finished in this picture, but it's completely done now! I've also finished her cape! I plan to have Nowi done by Sakuracon, and I'm on my way to doing that! Going to work more on some things tonight and hopefully work on the wig before I leave to go back to school tomorrow. 

Preview for my Spoiler costume! There's still a lot of work to be done on it, but I managed to get the cape and bodysuit mostly finished in time for SacAnime, so these are good progress pictures! I decided that I wanted to make her bodysuit black because I'm not a big fan of all of the purple and finding a stretch vinyl in the right purple was proving to be difficult.

I still have to remake the mask completely, make accurate gloves and a utility belt, make the leg band, and the belt that goes across her torso. I'd also like to make the bodysuit fit better and hopefully tone my tummy before I wear her again! The bodysuit was made completely from scratch and I'm still getting the hang of bodysuits. 

I definitely feel a little apprehensive about posting photos of an unfinished costume, but I've worked hard on what I do have and Mia took amazing photos, as always!

I wore this to a gathering without gloves or my mask because I just wanted to hang out with friends. Ended up taking a few silly pictures with Ryan!

I’ve been cosplaying for a while and I feel like I pretty much have capes down, so I’d like to start offering cape commissions!

Did you know that capes are huge? I use a circle skirt pattern for the actual cape, interfacing if there is a collar, and some sort of actual button or clasp to hold the cape on! No velcro for me. Pricing would depend on the type of cape, amount of fabric, type of fabric, and measurements. For example, my Stephanie Brown cape was two 40 radius circle skirts on top of one another. Fabric cost about $60, but I wasn’t too worried about the price. I used knit fabric for both layers.

Warning: Capes are very time consuming and I'm currently in school, so I would like a three to four month time frame to work in! If you need something in less than a month, we can work out a small rush fee.

I only accept paypal payments and require that fabric is payed for before I start on any commission. After the commission is received, then I’ll need the payment for labor costs. Labor will most likely cost anywhere from $25-60 and will depend on the cape. For example, I would charge around $40-50 for the Stephanie Brown cape that I made for myself. Keep in mind that it took five or six hours to make.

If you’d like to buy your own fabric, we can work something out where you send it to me after we have measurements worked out! I’d also like to know what type of fabric you’re buying just so I know what I’m working with before it’s sent to me.
