           fingers  continue  to  press  the  source  of  his  pain  ,  checking  for  that  crimson  taste  that’s  so  a  w  f  u  l  l  y  familiar  ,  but  he  manages  without  .  there’s  a  sense  of  adrenaline   continuing  to  fuel  him  as  the  atmosphere  dies  down  ,  the  severity  of  tonight  seeping  into  his  mind  .  the  good  news  was  that  he  possibly  saved  her  life  .  .  bad  news  ,  however  ,  would  be  aiden  rocking  that  shiner  (  somewhat  proud  of  it  )  for  the  oncoming  weeks  .  “  uh  ,  yeah  ,  sure  ,  ”  he  doesn’t  think  twice  before  motioning  for  her  to  join  in  ,  already  halfway  out  the  door  as  the  cold  air  whipped  against  him  .  “  you  usually  take  guys  home  ?  or  just  the  ones  that  get  socked  for  you  ?  ”

          the  beginning  of  her  words  send  goosebumps  to  every  inch  of  his  visible  skin  ,  mostly  due  to  the  rare  occasion  of  being  praised  .  for  someone  who  was  so  keen  on  destroying  matters  ,  any  sign  of  admiration  instantly  had  him  reeling  ,  an  indescribable  amount  of  confidence  seeping  through  his  pores  .  “  thank  you  ,  that  .  .  like  ,  means  the  entire  world  to  me  .  ”  it’s  the  truth  &  nothing  but  ,  melting  under  the  femme’s  sign  of  affection  ,  “  i’ve  got  the  b  e  s  t  company  possible  ,  so  no  complaints  .  ”

                           a  pure  act  of  chivalry  came  from  peter’s  side  ,  ultimately  impressing  aiden  a  little  more  than  it  should’ve  .  there  were  rarely  people  willing  &  able  to  ride  for  aiden  ,  even  if  it  was  something  as  small  as  a  jacket  ,  but  actions  spoke  louder  than  words  .  “  ‘m  glad  you  decided  to  speak  on  that  ‘cus  i  was  about  to  call  you  out  ,  ”  there’s  a  smile  gracing  his  features  through  his  words  ,  allowing  the  male  to  do  as  he  saw  fit  ,  “  yeah  ?  well  ,  it’s  a  beautiful  spot  so  i  don’t  blame  you  for  hidin’  around  here  .  .  besides  ,  now  i  know  exactly  where  to  find  you  .  ”  he  returns  the  good  vibes  towards  his  companion  for  the  evening  ,  finally  digging  into  his  food  moments  after  .  maybe  ,  just  maybe  ,  this  was  what  the  boy  needed  after  all  . 

the  words  fell  from  her  lips  ,  he  saw  that  much  ,  but  heard  absolutely  nothing  .  it  wasn’t  exactly  in  aiden’s  wish  to  argue  &  assert  his  opinion  ,  no  ,  except  the  bickering  between  them  had  come  unbearable  to  him  to  control  .  ❛  ‘m  just  tryin’  to  run  through  our  options  to  get  us  the  fuck  out  of  here  ,  can  you  relax  ?  ❜  his  tone  is  firm  &  obviously  stressed  ,  wanting  nothing  more  than  to  rid  himself  of  this  entire  situation  before  they’d  blow  up  ,  ❛ ──  your  hardest  ?  i  don’t  believe  that  for  a  second  ,  di  .  not  for  a  second  .  it’s  not  rocket  science  to  love  someone  ,  you  know  .  ❜ 

“   always  tryin’  to  be  like  me  ,  es  ,  it’s  admirable  .   ”   his  expression  mirrors  hers  as  he  speaks  ,  chocolate  hues  observing  the  femme’s  every  move  .  he  wasn’t  one  for  dramatics  ,  no  ,  but  the  anticipation  behind  him  all  had  him  internally  squirming  .  there  were  only  a  handful  of  individuals  who  received  a  chance  to  know  aiden  ,  the  real  aiden  ,  &  the  femme’s  ability  to  see  him  .  .  whether  or  not  he wished  for  her  to see  .  .  told  him  everything  he  needed  to  know  .  she  needed  to  stick  around  .  “  i  think  ,  yeah  .  the  only  thing  stoppin’  me  is  gettin’  caught  ──  i’m  TOO  PRETTY  for  jail  .  ”  there’s  a  hint  of  cockiness  coating  his  words  ,  believing  this  as  his  truth  ,  lips  sporting  a  heavy  smile  .  the  smile  grows  as  hues  continue  to  follow  her  ,  grinning  at  her  settling  back  in  ,  “  that’s  a  dealbreaker  ,  m’love  .  but  ,  fuck  ,  i’ll  look  past  it  just  ‘cus  it’s  you  .  for  now  .  ”

it’s  safe  to  say  the  other’s  energy  was  too  addicting  for  aiden  to  play  off  ,  especially  when  they  were  matched  like  this  .  being  under  the  femme’s  control  was  unlike  anything  he’d  ever  experience  ,  probably  why  he  cherished  these  moments  the  most  .  “  whoa  ,  it’s  not  that  i  can’t  ,  ”  he  corrects  her  ,  tongue  swiping  over  his  lips  ,  “  i  just  choose  not  to  .  .  not  when  you  look  T  H  I  S  good  .  ”

‘  i  forgive  you  .  ’  these  words  came  at  a  rarity  for  the  male  ,  really  ,  time  &  time  having  to  prove  himself  back  into  someone’s  life  .  this  just  went  to  show  how  original  &  full  of  heart  honey  truly  was  ,  something  that  made  it  easy  to  just  be  around  her  .  no  matter  what  .  “  thank  you  for  trustin’  me  again  ,  i  know  it’s  not  always  a  walk  in  the  park  with  me  ,  ”  he  let  her  into  his  embrace  ,  feeling  so  familiar  to  his  figure  ,  “  but  i  missed  you  too  .  ”  he’s  smiling  through  his  words  ,  a  couple  giggles  to  match  .  “  yeah  ?  well  ,  mind  if  i  join  you  ?  ”

“  imaginary  boyfriend  ,  huh  ?  that’s  a  new  one  ,  but  i’ll  take  it  ,  ”  a  couple  nods  serve  as  back  up  to  the  male’s  claim  after  he  speaks  ,  smile  ever  so  evident  across  his  features  .  any  person  who  possessed  the  ability  to  make  the  male  smile  held  a  prominent  place  in  aiden’s  life  ,  fingers  crossed  that  the  femme  could  actually  follow  suit  .  the  last  thing  he  wished  to  do  was  come  on  too  strong  &  pour  said  coffee  all  over  him  ,  which  would  suck  ,  leaving  him  to  respect  the  boundaries  .  or  at  least  have  some  semblance  of  a  filter  .  “  hm  ,  i  dunno  ,  you’d  be  surprised  as  to  what  i  can  handle  .  ”  a  mental  facepalm  would  be  in  order  since  it  sounds  oddly  sexual  ,  the  furthest  from  what  he  intends  ,  but  it’s  too  late  to  take  it  back  .  he  doesn’t  cause  a  scene  though  ,  honestly  grateful  that  she’d  change  the  topic  .  “  wow  ,  that’s  .  .  well  ,  somethin’  ,  ”  a  concerned  expression  now  holds  control  of  his  features  at  the  femme’s  words  ,  growing  the  tiniest  bit  of  concern  for  her  .  college  was  no  easy  feat  ,  with  all  the  tutoring  &  bonus  meetings  in  tow  ,  causing  more  stress  than  one  could  ever  imagine  .  “  it’s  rough  actually  ,  but  i  think  you’ll  have  ‘em  all  down  in  no  time  .  ”  tone  is  reassuring  &  solid  while  the  words  slip  from  past  his  lips  ,  eyes  heavily  fixated  on  the  other’s  gaze  .  “  hey  ,  don’t  worry  about  it  .  to  each’s  own  , ‘ya  know  ?  i  just  ,  you  know  ,  think  there’s  a  place  n’  time  for  everything  .  .  except  this  is  neither  .  he’s  gettin’  his  rocks  off  n’  i’ve  succumbed  to  spendin’  money  on  strangers  ,  ”  a  couple  laughs  interrupt  his  next  train  of  thought  ,  still  giggling  through  his  words  ,  “  which  ,  i  might  add  ,  is  a  RELATIVELY  new  thing  for  me  .  so  ,  uh  ,  you’re  w  e  l  c  o  m  e  .  ”  aiden’s  decision  to  keep  the  conversation  light  &  airy  seems  to  be  working  to  his  advantage  ,  noting  the  genuine  connection  he  faces  with  his  companion  for  the  evening  .  eyes  witness  her  movements  ,  partially  open  wider  ,  mouth  agape  ,  “  oh  ,  i  don’t  wanna  mess  with  your  studyin’  n’  all  that  .  .  ”   finger  scratches  the  head  of  his  head  ,  small  grin  occupying  his  lips  shortly  after  ,  “  but  ,  uh  ,  i  can’t  turn  down  a  good  vibe  .  ”
