The oil companies make a lot of money (obviously) and they are also cheap. With that said I took much joy today in socking it to one of the local refineries of which this particular oil company has a corporate agreement with our largest competitor today for $54k (a product our competitor doesn’t offer but we do).

Any thoughts on WWDC:Smackdown or whatever it's called now? I'm kind of over having the AI stuff being rammed down our throats whether or not we want it too.
I made a little post on it yesterday but same pretty much. The unfortunate thing is, it’s gonna continue to get pushed not only by them but everyone. There isn’t a damn thing I see online anymore without AI being mentioned. 🫤
An interesting thing is they really didn’t do a whole lot of “this is coming on this platform, but rather here is what you guys are gonna get across the board!”
Stability, speed, privacy, and battery life will forever be welcome. I can write my own texts and emails though.
I mentioned it yesterday but I thought it was pretty boss of the XBOX CEO to dump AI/Copilot from the platform.

Not a new thought but after watching today’s WWDC presentation it was a reminder that at least for me the technology is at the “what do I actually want/need from my device.” Vs “oh that’s neat!”
Have we peaked? Nah, there is always something cool and shiny that can be added. Is there anything at this point that either Apple or Samsung have shown off that make me feel like “omg, need!”
Not really. Could that change? Sure.
I’ll still say my favorite thing in the last 6-7 years have been the AirPods Pro. Still absolutely love my 3s and the Max 2s.
Side note, kudos to Asha Sharma (CEO of XBOX) for seeing/realizing that gamers don’t really want/need AI and got rid of copilot form the platform.
