“Do you think they had soft serve back in that other dimension?” he mused as he took a lick of the dessert. Alex let out a long sigh and shook his head a little dismissively, embarrassed to have even brought up that topic of conversation. “Sorry, that was stupid. Niko didn’t really think of the other dimension. Although now that Alex said something it was hard not to think of it. “It would be a sad world if it didn’t,” he laughed as he attempted a joke. “You know, I’ve never actually thought about it.” He couldn’t disagree about having a clean slate. He was still trying to deal with his own mess. It would be nice to start over. “You really think you’d go if given the chance?”

Oh come on, Niki thought as he looked at the man on the ground. There were two parts of him fighting on deciding what to do here. He was off duty so they could call the police or just slide the guy further into the alley so he doesn’t get robbed while unconscious. “It sure looks like you got him though,” he said to his cousin. “We should probably move him. “ Obviously he was going for the least responsible action.

He’d lost track of exactly how long he’d been running, all he did know was that he needed a break - stopping at one of the benches at the square, noticing all of them had at least one person sitting on them thanks to the nice day and people probably wanting to spend a little time outside. Walking to the nearest one with only person on it, he gestured to the empty sport. “Mind if I sit?”  @aeternumstarters​

The young hybrid was just enjoying the nice day out. He was taking advantage of the summer heat not being too bad. Especially since he had picked a bench below a rather large tree. Being in the shade made it significantly cooler. All and all he didn’t have any reason to complain. He was about to take a sip of water when a nearby voice caught his attention. Just had to lift his gaze slightly to see the Mitchell standing there. “Yeah, no one else is.” It wasn’t like he was saving it for someone.

“They do,” Jack said with a nod as he was almost finished eating his ice cream. “It doesn’t taste much different than this.” He didn’t find any foods to be different. At least from what he could recall. “Some times I miss it.” It was home after all. He was raised in the dimension. If that what one would call taking care of Jack after he was born. He missed all the baby and kid stuff. So he wasn’t really raised. “Everything okay?”

Jack was concerned for the guy on the ground but less so after her story continued. He lifted himself off of the ground and looked down at the man again. “Are you okay?” he asked as his attention shifted to her. He wanted to ask why she lied but he used to lie when he was a hunter. So she probably had a reason for it.

“Don’t mind at all,” Jack really wouldn’t mind the company. It was just then that he noticed how many people when in the park that day. Every bench with people in them and even more walking around. Guess he picked a nice day to go out.

Trish was absently eating her own ice cream when the thought hit her ears. She looked down at the ice cream for a second and wondered about it. “Do you want to know if they have soft serve or do you want a clean slate?” She asked as she turned to look at the Salvatore. “Because that’s a pretty big difference.” Did something happen? She couldn’t help but be curious about it.

“You know it’s hard to believe a lie if you don’t keep with it,” Trish said as she kneeled down to see if the guy was breathing. It seemed like he was fine. Apparently from the red around the eyes because of the pepper spray and being unconscious. “Where’s the person they were trying to pull in?” She stood up again and started looking around.

Kai wasn’t sure if he should answer sarcastically or pretend he didn’t hear the kid. He was going to go with pretend he didn’t hear him. Then the blonde kept talking. He stopped what he was doing to turn to the Salvatore. “You’ll probably find it’s a lot like this place,” other than vampires not being able to have kids. Well Caroline... well those were really his sister’s.

Kai stood quietly for a moment as he looked at the man on the ground before looking to the blonde. It seemed like she gave up on her lie fairly quickly. Maybe she had mistaken him for someone that was going to judge about a body on the ground. He had seen too many dead bodies to have his attention caught by some live one. “Probably was,” he said with a shrug. “Guy looks like an asshole.”

Trish was just sitting on the bench looking at her phone.  She was taking a break from her work day by looking for new furniture online.  It wasn’t a waste of time at all.  She wasn’t the time to make such a purchase without changing her mind at least four times.  She looked up when she heard someone’s voice.  “Hey,” she smiled when she looked up to see her cousin.  “Yeah, sit down.  What are you up to?”
