"Well, I suppose that makes sense," Rich admitted, a slight smile playing at the corners of his lips. He was more in tune with the day, with the magic that hid on every day things, not with the darkness and mystery that the night held.

As Niimi continued to describe his own personal rituals and the energy he felt while performing them, Rich couldn't help but admire the young pupil. He had clearly spent a lot of time studying and practicing, and it showed in his ability to perform even the most complex of spells.

Niimi blushes slightly when Rich affirms their stance. It's always nice when someone actually listens, even if they don't fully comprehend for themselves.

"Well, moon magic is so interesting to me," they explain. "Especially moon dances. There's just something about being they physical in relation to the moon that speaks to me."

They're sitting practically on the edge of their seat as they talk, getting excited with each passing second under the curious gaze of the man.

"And along with getting better with my intangibility and umbrakinesis, I want to learn astral projection and illusion casting."

"Those are all very advanced skills," he noted, a hint of admiration in his tone. "I'm sure you'll be able to master them in no time."

As Niimi began to go over the details of how they planned to learn these new abilities, Rich found himself listening intently, mentally cataloguing the techniques that seemed most promising. He had always been a bit of a show-off, and he had a feeling that Niimi was the same.

Niimi looks at Rich with a confident expression, assured in their stance.

"Because while the sun gives life and energy and day time is ideal for everyday spells, rituals are stronger at night because of the connections to the moon and stars."

They lean forward, emphatically gesturing with their hands.

"Magic is allowed to breathe in the shadows and the fluctuations of the Moon phases. Day is the constant and reliable. Night is the malleable and intuitive. Just like magic."

He laid next to Lincoln, his arms around the man's waist and his chin resting on his shoulder. His brain was racing, his heart thumping with excitement. He wanted to say so much, to tell Lincoln how much he adored him, how he had felt a connection between them from the moment they had met.

It was not lost on Lukas that, despite his age and experience, he could still learn quite a few things from others. In particular, Lukaz never really got into potion-making like some of his contemporaries; he just didn't really have a use for it in his daily magic. But a day spent without learning was a day wasted, and Richmond could teach him and a thing or two there.
