HELLO???? yesterday I saw someone call it new zealand and it genuinely took me by surprise since I hadn't seen anyone from here call it that for MONTHS. my immediate and extended family calls it aotearoa. my friends call it aotearoa. my uni lecturers do too. it's in a ton of the research reports and studies I have to look into every week. when I write essays pertaining to the ecology here I exclusively call it aotearoa in my writing. it's on buses and adverts. you hear it on the radio. what on earth is she talking about
