Charlie Kirk getting sniped right after leading with a deeply antiblack argument is a fear I think people ought consider more 😭 you'd think that woulda been a lesson for everyone in "oh, there can be consequences for my racism?", and yet. Hilarious timing, though.
Another (less deadly) example of what I mean: Right winger Jake Lang and some other white supremacists went to the BET (Black Entertainment Television) awards with signs, one saying "Black parents are failures". He forced his way into a space of Black excellence and community, to terrorize them.
And got the shit beat out of him, claiming that there was a "Black mob" attacking him.
That's what I mean. He was clearly unafraid, clearly BOLD enough, to walk into a space where he was not welcome, to purposely commit an act of racial violence to the people attending. As if he did not consider that the people there... Would respond in any way to his actions. As if he had every right to terrorize the Black people present, and that they had no right to respond to his violence. THAT'S what I mean by "oh there can be consequences for my racism?" YES.
Y'all are used to getting away with it because we've all been taught to let just about everything slide for the sake of maintaining order. That does NOT mean that the opportunity to fuck around and find out is Zero. Your actions SHOULD have consequences!
And just a reminder- Charlie Kirk was shot by a white right winger 😭 so we had nothing to do with that first one!
