Be Ready For The Absolute Worst

Dear boyfriend,

“Sure sweetie. You can come in any time you’d like.” 

“So how have you been?” her voice was slightly subdued, she really wanted to take her mind off what had recently happened to her, she hoped she wouldn’t have to talk about it.

“How are you?” 

“Heh, me? not so great, in terms of my sleeping” she yawned  “I could be doing a whole lot better, myself” 

“Sure sweetie. You can come in any time you’d like.” 

“So how have you been?” her voice was slightly subdued, she really wanted to take her mind off what had recently happened to her, she hoped she wouldn’t have to talk about it.

“Well I’m glad I’m good for you, but you see the thing is you don’t do SHIT in this relationship!! You are always glued to that fucking screen, and the only time I get to talk to you EVER is when I drag you off that computer to put you in a cot to sleep! We haven’t done anything remotely romantic, or ANYTHING AT ALL as a couple. And it’s bad enough I have to go into a video game to remind you to EAT! What next? Want me to put you in a diaper so you don’t have to leave the computer to go to the bathroom!”

She took off her headset and sat back in her chair with her arms crossed. Somewhere in the back of her mind, she had a bad feeling she was going to later regret this.

“Oh, I don’t know, because we made up? Jeez, woman, you are insufferable some times! I love you too much to live without you now!! This is a love/hare relationship and I love/hate it!!”

“We talked about this, right? I understand you not letting it go… but you don’t have to hold it over my head… you gonna be like this until we’re both in the nursing home… And in the afterlife… I know your family, I can hold a grudge, but you… you’ll hold it with an iron grip that’s soddered to your hand!”

“OH COME ON!”
