dear diary,
february is the shortest month, but some years it feels much longer. it’s been raining a lot in the mountains, a clue that spring is right around the corner. and that man i met at a ramen stand in the city… akira something… took me out to eat for love day last night. i had to miss the new episode of sim’s anatomy for it. after i finish writing, i’m going to make naomi give me a full recap.
i don’t know if he’s the one, but at least the food was good. afterwards, we went for a walk in myshuno meadows, and i showed him where all the koi live, feeding on the bottom of the park ponds for their perfect dinner. maybe talking to them will bring us luck from here on.

i would hope it would be obvious based on prior posting, but still just very firmly stating once more in light of the attacks on iran that i am not supportive and will never be supportive of imperialist violence and the vile glee of its perpetrators in carrying it out. there are many ways to oppose unjust regimes; this is not one of them (and certainly not when the us is a significant part of the reason why this government is here at all). and there is no such thing as preemptive warfare. the only thing this atrocity is serving are the flailing efforts of an imperial nation attempting to maintain its slipping hold on violent global dominance. and even if this weren’t the case, if you’re cheering on killing 51 kids in their school or anywhere else, you’ve got a real problem, and it isn’t the other country.
