The first time Y/n met her future son, she legitimately cried. The little boy was so vulnerable, with the only thing he’d had to call a mother taken from him by the serial killer the BAU were hunting down.

Lots of the kids she came into contact with were troubled, but sweet, six-month-old Beckham needed someone. He didn’t have a dad listed on his birth certificate, and his mom was a runaway with no family.

As part of her job on cases involving children, she often had to give them over to the foster care workers, and she knew how bad the system usually was.
