category v is an au, futuristic pacific rim roleplay set in three separate locations in 2135. with a wide range of characters to play, 200+ canons and every effort made to include you, the members, in our storytelling, we hope to make the site an inclusive, diverse community that you’ll want to sign onto every day

with us opening in an hour for development contest entrants, we thought we’d just run over a few quick ground rules. first off, we’ll be sending out the link individually to you guys, so please don’t share it with anyone that didn’t specifically get sent it. that wouldn’t be fair, and though we can’t police that, we hope that you guys’ll be cool enough not to do that.

secondly, we’ll be working very hard to get anything sorted, polished and accepted tonight and tomorrow, but please bear with us! we wanted to try and open at a time that most of our admins are here, but we’re still trying to get our own things finished up (we didn’t want you guys to wait any more!) and we should be more finalised with our own stuff when the site opens officially on monday.

other than that, well, here we go! we hope you are all super excited, and we’ll be doing another announcement on monday to give out the official link. if you have any burning questions, please don’t hesitate to ask us; we’re still here, and we’re still ready to take reserves and/or respond to any concerns or comments you might have.

nope, we haven’t posted the timeline yet. heather and anais have been slaving away at it ever since you guys first started asking, and they’ve actually just gotten the present-century kind of stuff done, because it’s a LOT to cover!! the other important thing to remember is that our timeline is going to be a largely collaborative venture, as you guys add in your own kaiju events, civil wars, natural disasters, whatever might have occurred on your own character’s personal timelines (all of which will be done, pending admin approval, via the worldbuilding forum)!

as far as posting the timeline, we’re actually going to hold off because of the formatting nightmare it will be getting it onto tumblr. it would be something we’d gladly figure out for you guys ..... except that we’re opening in two days!! and tonight, if you entered the dev contest. so you’ll just have to wait, sorry!

also, we’d like to announce our official opening: monday 18th @ 2.30pm (est). exciting, huh? we’d like to give early entrants the chance to write their apps and/or catch any glitches or errors before we open to the public. on that note, don’t forget that our early opening for everyone that participated in the development contest will be on saturday 16th @ 7pm (est). we’ll be sending the link out to you guys, so, like the reserves, please bear with us!!
