Complete Commission: Val and Leroy

First of all, I would like to thank you for choosing me to commission! I take each piece of artwork with pride, and strive for your happiness for the final piece. As my commission queue starts to grow, I have decided the easiest way to answer questions is through a Q&A post on tumblr. I will use this page as well to post all commissions.

Lets get to it then.

What do you draw? I draw almost everything! I am not the most experienced at drawing humans or mechanical things, but I am willing to take on the challenge. I will draw fanart, game characters, and animals. My specialty lies in animals.

Do you have more examples of artwork? Yes, I can provide you with however many examples you need to decide on a piece of work. It is possible that I can make suggestions that I think would work for your type of commission, and it may even be cheaper for you!

What is the average time frame for a piece? This depends on the style of piece. Sketchy’s can take a couple of hours to complete, while paints can take upwards to a month to complete depending on the detail. I try to complete pieces quickly and efficiently.

Do you do NSFW? Yes. NSFW is an option. You must be 18+ to commission this.

What will you not draw? Over complicated scenes, armor and backgrounds. I will not do child porn, extreme gore or any scenes that can potentially make me feel uncomfortable. What I will and will not draw can be discussed.

How often to you present WIPS? I strive to be completely transparent with my clients. Works in progress will start with the sketch, then depending on the commission style, I will build on those and provide each level a WIP. Often times pieces can have upwards to 8 WIPs. Example: Someone has ordered a refined piece. I will give the sketch, lineart, base color, shaded, and final WIP. 

Can I make changes to my commission if I don’t like something? Yes! This is why I give you so many WIP’s. If there is something that looks strange, I will fix it immediately and provide another WIP for confirmation. Large fixes that require me to completely change the piece can lead to extra charges due to the time and effort it can take to make these changes. Because I provide so many WIPs, I ensure that as I build on it, you are satisfied.

How does the payment plan work? Don’t worry, I understand that sometimes funds can be a little tight. Thus, I offer payment plans for my commissions. You can pay upfront, but I also offer the choice to pay half at the beginning of the commission, then half right before I finish. I cannot give a client a completed commission if I do not receive the second half of the payment.

I will continue to update this list as more questions and brought up, as I probably missed a couple writing them down. And of course, you are welcome to ask me about anything regarding these rules. Communicating with me is the best way to ensure that I can work efficiently and that you are satisfied with your commission.
