topamax takes away my ability to taste carbonation. i did not know this was possible. unfortunately it very much is and it sucks as much as you can imagine. the only way to marginally help this is to drink fountain sodas with straws, and this only slightly helps.

said medication also gives me insane mood swings. i have been crying about many things week, over varying levels of severity. i cried about hannah montana. i cried about the prospect of potentially having to drink only zero sugar sweet tea and water for the rest of my life. i cried about spiders in the trunk of my car. today i got off work and saw the two cases of gold peak zero sugar sweet tea i bought and the thought of having to drink it made me so distressed i cried again. (for context i struggle a lot with drinking plain water so for a long time zero sugar soda was the main way for me to hydrate. not ideal, but it worked. zero sugar sweet tea was the next best solution even though i really don't care for it, and that brand happened to be the best tasting one)
