Flower arrangements constructed from recycled gacha bubbles, found fabrics and trapped toys. 

I had these bubbles laid out on my studio floor for quite some time and in-between other sewing I’d look over and see if they wanted to be anything yet. It took some time before they started to arrange themselves as flowers, then later as these particular garland-like forms. Some little toys squished in, too, for good measure.

‘Cute Commute (an ode to my bike)’

Felt, wire, recycled fabrics, stuffing & cardboard, thread, plastic eyes.

A meditation on how much I love my bike, moomins, Pulp and Zadie Smith. Also featuring the apple I insist on taking everywhere, only to return home uneaten and bruised from being bounced around in my bag all day.

Thank you to all the friendly faces who popped down to the opening of Toyworld 2 on Friday night! We were so chuffed to see you all; to chat and make merry in the name of toys.

Big thanks to Shena at Jacky Winter Gallery for being the best and making the lead-up, install and opening all such a pleasure.
