Hello there! We are glad you are enjoying the show on the whole, and of course we are very sorry you found that joke offensive. The gag you are referring to isn't intended to mock Biz for her sexual preferences in any way: we wanted to push the limit of what Biz's preferences could be to heighten the disconnect between her and her stuffy, more old fashioned parents - whom we DO intend to mock! On the writing team, we are very much Team Biz - and we wanted to make Samara's lack of awareness and understanding the butt of the joke, in the wider context of a scene about parents not really understanding their daughter, rather than a joke about Biz's wants and choices. The joke is in no way intended to be a judgement about Biz's preferences - it is meant to be a judgement about how her parents react to it! We know a lot of people who have faced similar judgements from the older generations of their family for their choices, and it was those older, more closed-minded people we were gunning for with this joke. The choice of terms we used to describe Biz's sexuality were deliberately heightened to emphasise the joke, but in no way is the joke's intention to mock Biz for her choices themselves. We hope that clarifies our intent a little. That all said - we apologise if you don't feel our intention for the joke was successful, and are genuinely sorry that you found the line offensive.
