"Normal is… difficult." Frowning and setting first one, then the other, Wonder Woman figure down on the table, he picked up the beer in front of him and cradled it for a moment. "I’m sorry for everything you lost. It’s never easy, going through that."

"I'd say. Especially when you've never really been normal." The word was bitter in her mouth, worse when it left her lips."Yeah. I guess everyone's bound to go through that whole crap cycle at some point...Can I ask you a question?"

"Hey Batman. Guess who's back in town. Fancy a beer?"

"Vlad's dead. Boyfriend turned out to be a bad guy, killed Vlad, went crazy, I killed him. Now we're just waiting for a cure to stop reanimating corpses." She huffed, taking a swig of her beer. "Then I can finally hang up my bat and try to be normal."

"Hey Batman. Guess who's back in town. Fancy a beer?"

His brow lifted slowly at the Wonder Woman figurines, the corner of his mouth quirking upward slightly. “I think I do, yes. Tell Vlad I said thank you.” Reaching out, Batman accepted the figurines and looked them over for a moment before slipping them into an empty slot on his belt. “That why you came all the way out here? For a pair of shapely toys and to make sure all hell wasn’t breaking loose?”

"Yeah. About that." Cassie shoots back instantly, eyes darting to her feet. "My story's over, I've reached the end of being a superhero serial killer and believe me, my finale sucks a bag of dicks. Turns out, Vlad doesn't survive the ride with me, I'm cleaning up the mess...And the toys were one of them"

"Hey Batman. Guess who's back in town. Fancy a beer?"

"Things have been quiet. More of the usual, but nothing like you’re looking for."

"That's good. The numbers are dropping, and they should be. Just stopped by to have a quick check. Anyway uh--" Cassie cleared her throat, knowing why she stopped by wasn't just for a friendly hello. "Vlad, my big friend, remember? Yeah he uh...he left these for you." She mumbled, pulling out a couple of wonder woman figurines. "He said you'd get the hint though I sure don't."

"Hey Batman. Guess who's back in town. Fancy a beer?"

"Atta boy. Anyway, just wanted to drop by, see if Gotham still suffers from cannabalistic zombie killers."
