Thank you for the ask anon but I don’t think this even requires a new reading. Firstly, woosan were never distant they just didn’t have a lot of “loud” moments. And because woosan weren’t usually like that, people focused on the absence instead of what was there and spread this notion. There’s so many woosan moments from 2024 and 2025 if you pay attention, especially 2025 I mean lemon drop era imo is when the shift really happened and woosan started returning to their pre-bouncy selves. Also during this “distant” era, the vogue photoshoot happened, san mentioned how he’s never regretted anything with Wooyoung and how the AAA tattoo is the only one he wants to own. Early 2025 in Paris, woosan literally go up and down the aisle at a sendoff while everyone chanted ‘Woosan’! Just search up woosan moments 2024/2025 and you will see a lot of them that fans compiled.

Second, you do need to know the push and pull is naturally a part of their dynamic. There are moments Wooyoung tries to rile San up and San doesn’t react or keeps a poker face, that’s part of the game to them. They don’t have to pick each other for everything, they have great friendships with the other members. I mean San picked Jongho as someone he has the most fun with and most hangouts are woosanjong or woosanjonghwa. So there is truth to that. You’re saying the energy has changed which undeniably true but as seen from the recent fanmeeting Woo is still clinging to Yunho and San to Yeo. Hello anon! Firstly, thank you for appreciating my readings. In the beginning I was nervous to share them on here because I didn’t know how tumblr atinys would react. That feeling hasn’t completely worn off but I’m glad people are listening to me and recommending me to others.

I started tarot reading for myself partially to make my own conclusions. I don’t have clairvoyance or see visions; the most I have to any abilities are dreams I’d get once in a blue moon that I know are things going on spiritually. Those dreams are always about me and stuff surrounding my family. Anyways, idk how gifted I am and I’ve only been doing tarot for 4 months. So I can’t speak on what other readers get or totally denounce what they have. What I can say is a lot of tarot accounts online are very heteronormative. They make clickbait titles about an idol’s love life and never leave room for possibilities of them being queer. That makes them less believable in my eyes or at the very least, distorts the entire reading. Because there might be tarot readers who are honestly telling what the cards say about San’s love life and who have similar cards to what I get. That he’s greatly in love and he wants a future with this person and he’s hiding this relationship. But because they interpret all of it through a heteronormative lens, they assume he has a girlfriend. And miss the entire reality of the situation.

Or maybe they do see what’s actually going on but they lie in order to not “out” San or get attacked by homophobes. Regardless, I sought out the truth for myself and here I am, with knowledge I can’t decide if I’m grateful or regret finding out. And side note, I wouldn’t believe any tarot reader who claims all of Ateez is straight. I could accept if they only said no ships were real (even tho my cards say otherwise) but to say all the members are straight is operating from a close-minded place. I mean last year Seonghwa got on a live and told atinys that he’ll make an instagram post soon and to really pay attention to the lyrics of the song. The song was double take by Dhruv. My point is I believe tarot requires an open mind. I truly did not think matz went this deep. I went in with only one assumption - they care a lot about each other. Because that’s what I’ve gathered from their public appearance. It could’ve been platonic or romantic I didn’t fixate on either. My deck is also very honest with me, if there was really nothing between matz or woosan it would’ve told me and I wouldn’t be typing this post right now.

To circle back to woosan, if you’ve read my readings you know the stance my cards have taken. But here’s the summary: Wooyoung and San love each other. They are soulmates. They’ve had this between them for years. It’s not the most stable, it’s not settled, but they’ve sustained this relationship the best their circumstances allow. There is someone higher-up in the company who dislikes their relationship and has kept them on a tight leash for the past few years. Wooyoung and San are tired of it.

I’ve done probably over a dozen woosan readings on my own since and they’ve only reaffirmed everything. That is why I am saying all of this with confidence. So where we are with woosan currently is they’ve opened a new YouTube channel you can find the link in my recent posts. Please support them, this means so much to them and I’ll elaborate on why. But the biggest ruckus it caused was a portion of the video where San says him and Wooyoung aren’t dating. Now as someone who owns a tarot deck that has repeatedly and repeatedly told me that they are or at least have a genuine romantic connection, I didn’t budge. I didn’t panic, I didn’t doubt, my first reaction was “lol ok San whatever you gotta say”.

It’s important to preface this by saying two things:

1. Koreans clarified that San said it in a playful manner. It wasn’t said from being uncomfortable or whatever dumb shit this fandom wants to spew. If he was uncomfortable being paired with Wooyoung the channel wouldn’t fucking exist. This fandom doesn’t know what woosan went through to get this channel so I need that entire narrative to shut the fuck up.

2. San denied them dating because Wooyoung was lowkey implying that they were. When talking about getting permission from their parents to get another matching tattoo he uses “yangga bumonim”(양가 부모님). This is typically used in a bride and groom context like getting permission for marriage and whatnot. It didn’t come out of nowhere, woosan are still idols from conservative ass South Korea, San will deny dating anyone.

I am not condemning what he said. I am not fighting against it. I am not judging him. Because I know why he said it and I’ve felt the weight of what made him say that. In most of my woosan readings, the energy is always so heavy as if I swallowed a rock. No other readings I’ve ever done felt that way, not even with matz. In early June, in a short reading I did on my own, I’d asked how woosan felt about the company. The cards were mostly conflicted feelings of nostalgia, burden, stress etc. but the energy overwhelmed me. Idk if something went down between them and the company that particular day but it felt like I was on the brink of a panic attack. I had to do breathing exercises, ground myself, and temporarily detach from reading woosan because I was absorbing their emotional baggage.

So I only have sympathy for San but I did ask why he said it.

Y’all gotta understand San is very paranoid and defensive. The page of cups here to me is the reality of his feelings. It’s emotional tenderness, a bleeding heart that is surrounded by guarded energy. Even though he denied it in a rather casual way it is rooted in a knee jerk reaction. In the video when talking about getting a health certificate, he mentions how it’ll look a certain type of way if they do it together. Meanwhile, I doubt Wooyoung, the staff, or even most fans interpreted that suggestion the same way. San is so hyper-aware of what being paired with Wooyoung could mean but it’s not from being uncomfortable but he needs to control how they’re perceived. The 3 of coins could refer to his career as an idol or simply this collaboration with Wooyoung making the channel. The Devil is societal expectations chaining him down, his toxic environment conditioning him into these habits so he doesn’t end up in the 5 of coins - losing it all and being isolated. Combine this with the 9 of swords, this is all fear. Of ruining his vision of ultimate happiness with Wooyoung. 7 of swords - secrecy and self-preservation. San will say or do what he believes will protect them even if it means cutting his real emotions off.

Then he later said on fromm not to refer to their matching tattoos as a couple tattoo. From what I heard, this is partially because Wooyoung used a certain language in the video suggesting that it was a couple tattoo and again, he didn’t say this in a serious, uncomfortable manner. But this fandom doesn’t give a damn about nuance.

All coins cards; he is thinking about their careers. He obviously recognizes the unconventionality of the AAA tattoos. It goes against traditional standards of their society. I’ve done a reading on my own of what the tattoos mean to woosan but more or less it is a long-term investment for a future. It is their hope for forever and telling from the 4 of coins, san treasures it deeply. Once again this guardedness comes out and even without tarot reading, it’s always been clear the tattoos are a touchy subject for San. Personally I think there’s more context as to what led them getting it that the public will never be privy to. But typically Wooyoung guides the conversation around it while San agrees quietly. Similar to the dating denial, San will guard what he values most even if it means hiding his true feelings.

So as everyone knows the dating denial clip blew up and knowing how chronically online Wooyoung is especially on Twitter, he definitely knows. Gotta mention I did this reading on Thursday so right during the heat of it.

The channel means so many things to woosan, one of them being a public celebration of their bond. He wasn’t able to fully enjoy the beginnings of this channel or reach emotional harmony because this is all everyone was talking about. 8 of wands signaling how rapidly the news was spreading and the momentum of hectic energy. Wooyoung believes there’s just no winning here because he obviously can’t disprove it and he’s ever conscious of the juggling between his private life and what is presented on camera. But ultimately, I think he shut out all the noise to retreat to self-sufficient privacy and be content with it. The public will believe what they want but he will enjoy what he’s built for himself including his relationship with San.

I dug a little deeper because him seeing internet discourse is one thing but I wanted to know how he felt on an interpersonal level.

I really appreciate how much y’all liked my matz readings but I want to step back from them for a while. Partially because matz is such a mess I genuinely get a headache after each reading of them.

So this reading became rather long and more in depth than what this question was asking lol my bad.

What happened between Hongjoong and Seonghwa in 2024: Page of Swords, Knight of Coins, 8 of Cups, 9 of Swords reversed, 6 of Swords

Right off the bat, there was something. I’m not sure if they were officially dating because one thing you’re gonna know from a matz reading is that they are the situationship of all time. But it appears they were dancing around each other, had flirtatious banter, and witty arguments with each other. It was mentally stimulating first and foremost. The knight of coins could mean two things: It could show there was a practical investment for an actual relationship, they were planting the seeds for something long-term. Or it could reflect how one of them became too prioritized with work or practical matters so the other felt emotionally neglected. Eventually one or both of them walked away and while initially it was very hard it later became a smooth transition.

Basically they tried, it didn’t work out, but hey they gave it a shot - general vibe here. In my first matz reading I didn’t know if they were a thing because there was so much suppressing feelings and lack of communication in that reading. Yeah matz having a thing was definitely known by the other members. The spark was apparent, the group noticed the romantic gestures, they saw the feelings bubbling between them and I think they were all for it. I mean they’ve been teasing matz for being a married couple since pre-debut so I’m sure they were glad to see progress being made.

I’m so tired of this King of Swords bruh. The company knew or suspected here was something romantic growing between matz and inserted themselves as they do. The 3 of Cups here gives the energy of an unwelcome third party in a relationship. It could also be that matz tried to keep what they had a secret from the company so on the surface they were still “just friends”. But KQ eventually found out, likely began monitoring the situation and observing how far it’ll actually go. They probably gave them a warning, imposed strict rules to enforce control, yes they technically allowed it but there’s no genuine support.

There is a king of swords authority figure in KQ that don’t like these relationships brewing between ateez. I kept getting this card in my woosan readings and when I got it here I literally rolled my eyes.

Lemme put this way, the company or at least this authority figure’s mindset is this: “You keep that shit behind closed doors and control yourself at work. If you can do that, sure you two can fool around. Let loose some pent-up stress and get each other off. But I expect you to get over it. Because it won’t go anywhere.”

It is such a harsh and cold outlook. There is no acknowledgment of love, of concerns about protecting them as individuals, of their feelings. It’s so rooted in the belief that being queer is a choice so here are the conditions if you want to continue this choice. Either accept our control or get over it. Why they’ve been clashing with woosan lately is because woosan never got over it and woosan don’t want to be controlled anymore. And that is terrifying to this authority figure who is hellbent on order.

What sucks with matz though is whatever went down between them kind of “proved” the company’s point to an extent. That these feelings can’t go anywhere long-term. It wasn’t because of company intervention or keeping it a secret (tho of course those factors must’ve played a role). It was mainly due to emotional immaturity and lack of proper communication. It might’ve not worked out even if they weren’t idols. Where the company got it wrong was assuming their feelings weren’t serious. Just because a relationship didn’t become serious doesn’t necessarily mean the emotions involved were not. I mean Hongjoong wrote “All About You” in 2021, he has liked Seonghwa for at least 5 years if not longer. That’s not just a crush anymore in my opinion.

A few days ago, I checked back on how matz are doing and I got 3 of swords reversed along with ace of cups and other emotion-based cards I don’t remember rn lol. Point is, whatever happened between them in my first matz reading has been forgiven. The rush of feelings is still between them, they still love each other, matz never got over it either. But they’re not trying to liberate themselves like woosan because there’s nothing substantial and solid to fight for.

He must’ve been in a rough place and wrote the song to process some feelings. It’s possible he wrote it partially with Seonghwa in mind but there could be other reasons. He seemed to have been going through some stuff generally.

It clicked for me. Since Seonghwa’s representative animal is a rabbit and this song is from 2021 so it’s before Mito became an Ateez mascot. Now that I think of it, Mito might’ve been inspired by this song. I then asked if Seonghwa knew this song was for him and I got the Sun card which is also a loud yes. But that means Seonghwa has known about Hongjoong’s feelings for him. Yet we’ve been in this eternal limbo for years (tho I go over why in my matz reading).
