I keep seeing this and it irritates me so much every single time. It has become a meme and sure it could be funny or "romantic" and all, but it's much more damaging and especially when people just blindly believe it. Let me explain.

1. Serbia was committing a literal genocide in Kosovo. The U.S. went in with the bombing campaign to stop Serbia from committing a genocide in Kosovo. I'll repeat: President Bill Clinton bombed Serbia to stop them from committing horrendous war crimes and mass human misery; not because his wife was finally talking to him again. It was not about marital issues, it was about saving lives. It's absolutely ridiculous that I have to put these strings of words side by side. If you don't know about what happened in Kosovo, look it up. Knowing history is too important.

2. Gail Sheehy is not immediately a reliable and trustworthy source. She bases her books on gossip and rumors, not necessarily on verified information and facts. She writes about juicy stuff, whether it's truth or not, and then presents it as truth. One should always take these kinds of writings and books with a grain of salt.

3. Because I am petty: Hillary Clinton did not, in fact, stop talking to Bill Clinton in January of 1998 when the Lewinsky story broke. She stopped talking to him in August, after he confessed to her that he had lied about it. Details.

If folks want to talk about romance in the Clinton marriage, I'm obviously all for that. There are many instances that could be discussed. This, however, is not one of them.

What I've learned from my father

My father founded the Clinton Foundation in 2001 because he believed in the power of bringing people together to solve problems and create opportunity.

It says "C. V. Clinton". That's Chelsea Victoria Clinton. And "2014". That there is without a doubt her Ph.D thesis. Look at the size of that thing. As a BA student I'm like 😬

Anyway, Chelsea's got her doctorate bound and stacked in her office and I think that's a pretty cool boss move. You go Dr. Clinton💅🏻✨️
