i was going to say being stuck in the past is such a human thing, but it's actually so universal... like the dogs that still wait for their old masters, or the salmon and sea turtles that return home every season... something about our planet—maybe that she herself returns home every year—that instills a sense of nostalgia in everything that grows from it...

i'm just tired of not knowing what the social currency is and dealing with the consequences of that

really just want some peace and quiet. but to frolic in it? like being in a supermarket at 2am type...
