Shooting her cousin an incredulous look, Stella muttered, “Maybe I should just let you do it then. Wanna trade places?”
“Oh ---- god no, I cry for hours if I stub my toe and trip over air, I would be a horrible mess in a labour room. You on the other hand, you’ll scare the nurses so much that they’ll probably work their asses off to make it hurt less.”

“The heads the worst part,” the other said before letting out a chuckle. “Sorry -- probably didn’t help and all, but if you think about it, if you can get through the whole head situation then the rest is easy! The child actually does the rest themselves once they get their head out by like corkscrewing or something and they just kind of plop right out!”

“Yeah, soon,” Stella echoed, a look of concern and excitement flashing over her features. Her due date was nearly two weeks away exactly and each day it hit Stella more and more that she was actually going to be responsible for a tiny baby.

The thought of being in charge of a child and taking care of said child was enough to make Cass jump out of her skin --- but unlike herself, Stella had a stronger backbone, one that was made to be put towards being a mother.
