The Goose and the Common is an 18th century protest rhyme about the social injustice of the Enclosures Act, land rights and privatisation of common land.

Bristol Airport (a private company) wants to expand again, adding 4million more passengers, extra night flights, and new infrastructure across Felton Common, a nature reserve and Site of Nature Conservation Interest. It is an open access community space, and is home to a unique diverse range of flora and fauna including many endangered species.

Current proposals would bring fencing, roads and rows of approach lights onto protected common land, permanently destroying a landscape shaped by people and nature since neolithic times. 250 locals came together to record this song to highlight this shameful corporate land-grab.
