genuinely I think there is something to be looked at in re: plural communities and the expectation of aesthetic
we give everyone in our system full autonomy over themself and how the world sees them. that includes profiles everywhere that it's applicable and is inherently antithetical to having a unified system theme on things like pluralkit or front tracking apps
it comes back to singletnormativity I think. even among plurals there's an expectation for you to have a singletsona for you to have a collective identity for you to be able to share a blog and agree on an aesthetic

there's so many posts on this site along the lines of that one "the only viable option left is to elope with a tumblr mutual" post, and i just feel like it's my sworn duty and passion in life to remind you all that there is ALWAYS, always another option: staying single. fucking your friends. hanging out with random people with no intention of establishing a romantic connection with any of them. or just hanging out by yourself, finding a hobby you enjoy more than you ever enjoyed dating.

I actually do not believe in people 'not having trauma' past the age of like 18 if I'm generous
something has happened. a pet has died. a grandparent. maybe you were swimming and almost got pulled under. maybe you experienced a house fire. maybe you've had to deal with poverty
there are a million different things that cause trauma because it depends entirely on the person going through them
trauma is unavoidable. everyone is traumatized
we understand how and why people come to the conclusion having a CDD = disordered system because. yeah some amount of distress or impairment is necessary for it to be a disorder
but when we say we're a non disordered system the emphasis is on the system
our system is the best thing that happened to a lot of us. we get along almost perfectly. hiccups are smoothed over forgiven and forgotten. we have excellent communication. we're only getting better
our brain is the disordered thing here. not the system. our brain makes us forget. it makes us zone out. it makes us feel like we're looking at game graphics while we're looking out our window
that's the disordered part. not the system
not to be a pedantic hater but i wish tumblr accent wasn't the commonly used term to describe tumblrina typing quirks and phrases bc that is Not an accent it's a dialect!!

accents just affect how you pronounce words
dialects also include grammar (like tumblr users' tendency to not captialize except for Emphasis or ending sentences with commas like this,,,,,) and vocabulary (blorbo, devil's sacrament, #mythis, etc)
I try not to fall into the "I never liked their work anyway" ditch when an artist/creator reveals themself to be a terrible person
BUT
a feeling I do have and will stand by is "While I enjoyed their work overall I did have some gripes that I overlooked out of affection and whimsy, but now that my loyalty is gone and my affection tainted there is nothing holding me back from enumerating my many grievances, to which the revelations of the creator's shittiness may or may not provide a new and infuriating context."
