WONDERFUL prompts!!!! especially the untrustworthy caretaker OOO!
might i add… whumpees hiding in horrible places.
- Hiding in a body of water/mud/tar/some other malignant fluid and having to hold their breath until the danger passes them by. Or hiding in a place with liquid that slowly rises - like a tidal cave or section of pipe
- In places far too small, that forces whumpee to injure themself in order to fit (dislocating joints, tearing muscles, etc)
- Somewhere they must remain totally still; even the rise and fall of a breath would give it away. and maybe they don’t make it, maybe they pass out
- Hanging beneath a bridge or off a balcony to avoid being spotted; but say they’re found, and whumper needs only to step on whumpee’s fingers to send them plummeting in free fall
- caretaker hiding an injured/sick whumpee who can’t stop crying or whimpering in pain (every breath hurts); …caretaker trying so desperately to quiet whumpee that they begin smothering them
- whumpee getting stuck in a hiding place and crying out for help…. even for whumper’s help 😔
- whumper hiding whumpee from their friends in a place where whumpee can CLEARLY see them, watch them turning the place upside down, but they’ll never, never guess where whumpee is stashed - and whumpee can’t possibly call out to them (maybe they’re gagged, or doing so would cause whumper to harm the searchers)
- whumpee being hunted for sport lends itself well to the hide and seek concept too imo
