I'm still so - so towards Mega Man, but I feel like I can finally flesh out Solis how I want to proper

Was never sure how to show his disfigurment and disability ( blindness ) , but finally figured it out. The head gem connects to his helmet to act as eyes, but it's not the same as actual sight ( limited extent, acting more as calculations based of speed, angles, almost more like a visualized sense of echolocation )

Helmet on or off, he genuinely can't see, but helmet off, he has to rely on his senses more strongly than the helm's developed foresight calculations.

Clearest he could probably see is if someone just stands close to him, still as possible -- but even then, he'd need to touch their face to get a full understanding
