taehui.
“Well..sort of.” Taehui knows the other won’t get the reference, but that’s fine. He doesn’t need anyone to know he’s actually a being rescued from death’s embrace and placed back onto the Earthly realm to help protect children from nightmares. He’s fine living a normal life. Or as much of a normal life as he can. But maybe he should pay attention. As he’s reminiscing about his true background, the taller male has already made his way to the door with two sets of drinks.
“Oh goodness, I’m coming. I’m coming.” He reaches forward and grabs them, smiling at the barista and apologizing. “Just do me a favor and make sure that there’s at least one blueberry muffin when I come back. Please? I’ll give you a good tip if you do so.” The young body behind the counter smiles and nods, promising that one will be waiting and Taehui gives them a wink before rushing himself to the door to follow.
🌨 ⁝ connor’s already a good twenty feet in the direction toward the firm when he realizes that the kind stranger is STILL at the door. he murmurs a curse under his breath as he checks his watch, before heaving a sigh and accepting defeat. backtracking, the intern falls into step with the shorter male. ‘ i’m already what--twenty minutes late ? i doubt there’s any use in running at this point. ’ ( sides, connor thinks, what could be more embarrassing than to be late and sweaty ? )
as the two traverse down the sidewalk, he’s finally able to calm the hell down. ‘ say--i uh, just realized i haven’t gotten your name yet. ’ now that he’s not so caught up with himself, connor’s beginning to realize how abrasive he must’ve off. he smiles sheepishly. ‘ i’m connor by the way. ’
