ok so I slept like 3 hours last night cuz I was still anxious about my mom’s car accident even though she is okay (just in a lot of pain) but anyway. I took the day off to help her out today, which I did, but while she was asleep I was like “hey I should put my new license plate* on while I have some time so I don’t get pulled over running errands for my mom or if I have to pick my step dad up from the hospital” (he was also in the crash and had to stay overnight )(*you may recall I randomly got my fucking license plate stolen last week because my life is amazing!!!) so i went out to change it real quick but whoever stole my plate just ripped the whole thing clean off and didn’t even remove the screws, and everything was so rusted and corroded that I spent over 4 hours trying to unscrew the nuts with increasingly unhinged tools (fortunately both my brothers were home to help with my mom otherwise I definitely wouldn’t have spent four hours on that shit). I eventually got one off, but the other was fucking impossible and whoever designed the inside of the trunk of my car needs to fucking go to medieval torture prison because it was fucking impossible to get any tool in there. eventually I lost my shit entirely and went to ace hardware to buy a fucking hacksaw so I could just saw the fuckin screw off and it’d just fall out. so I was walking around the store covered in grime and dirt and wd40 all over me with sticky ass dried tears ALL over my face and neck lmfao unshowered… hair unwashed… teeth unbrushed… black dirt under fingernails… looking at saws and knives lmfao and the worker was like “can I help you find anything” and I said “NO I’m just looking.” so flatly and perhaps evilly and i feel bad. then the cashier was a high school girl who interned at my job a few months ago and she was friendly and trying to catch up with me but i was so flat and not personable. like omfg im evil. like should I drive back to the store and say sorry?!?!? like I wasn’t MEAN I just smiled and nodded and responded with very little energy basically but idk I think im evil. anyway I sawed the screw off feverishly (and scratched up the back of my car in the process but idgaf she’s from 2007 and has caused me nothing but trouble). so now the FUCKING plate is on AT LEAST. so that was my day!!!!!! also my mom literally can’t move from the pain and the doc is like “just use ice and Tylenol teehee <3” im going to start killing ppl

my adhd meds are soooo subtle but I think they do work because if I am not given the chance to finish a task im working on I get quite annoyed. which is maybe not a good thing? but. it’s pretty manageable and preferable to before where I basically could not do any tasks without gargantuan effort or from being motivated by fear. Like now sometimes it’ll be time for my lunch break at work and I’ll be like NOOO I’m working on this! whereas before I’d be like thank fucking GOD free me

my boss is suddenly obsessed with decorating the entire library and she wanted to put up American flag decorations (gross) around the Carnegie library exhibit she made me research and produce (took literal days of work away from my actual job lol), but anyway she kept saying she wanted “old-timey, vintage decorations” instead of the American flag stuff that’s already down in the storage room, so she tasked me with doing it but I didn’t because gross, so she took it upon herself and ordered some “tea-stained vintage” bullshit from Amazon and it literally.
